That crystal charizard is the most over rated charizard card of all time,
and that entire e-reader era of cards was ugly and reminded me of baseball cards. All Charizard is missing is a baseball cap

I referring to skyridge in particular because of the pose zard makes with his head angle and arm out looks light hes a pitcher throwing a baseball. and the styling used for skyrige cards for the rest of the card is nearly identical to popular baseball set I used to collect
That one you posted looks better because of the style used by the artist with the shading and angle + blue eyes zard.
Not all of them are bad, I’m a fan of lugia aquapolis for instance.
Its just that I find crystal zard a big offender of the baseball copy style

This zard looks like someone cut a zard head out and stuck it on some other body.
I’ve also always thought Charizard had a head shaped like a Labrador retriever.

I agree crystal Charizard is probably the worst looking and most overrated of the “grail Charizard”
But how can you declare the whole era as bad?!
It’s like saying all of neo is bad because you didn’t like light/dark Pokemon

If you took a poll on this website, and asked what the favorite charizard card of all time is out of the hundreds of different zards, i would fully expect crystal charizard to win the poll (behind base zard though)
Thats how popular it is. I just dont feel like its anywhere near the best and that many put skyridge set above all others
Im glad it exits and adds a different flavor to a large catalog. This era was unique
I actually love charizard expedition. His tail looks like a rocket, fueling his flight into space

Tbf you said the entire e-reader era was ugly, which is just a silly statement.
There is some horrendous CGI cards in there, but you have to counter that with some incredible artworks that will stand the test of time and compete with any modern alternate art.

Yeah i propably overstated it.
The e-reader styling with the yellow dominating and lines gives off total sports card vibes. Especially with the bottom left cursive “e”
I dont have issues with the individual art works tho, except with that zard

I think you would he shocked. For instance, many think gold star zard is the best zard.
But on THIS forum? I remeber the gold star tier list. It seemed like everyone stuck 
zard in c, d, or f tier i couldnt believe it

but thats an E4 thing. To the masses gold star charizard is amazing
I agree that crystal Charizard looks bad (common opinion), but I also think the goldstar Charizard looks terrible. I would not expect any of them to be the most popular in a poll result. I believe these two cards mainly are popular because they are expensive secret rare chase cards, Can make the same argument for Shining Charizard from Neo Destiny.

besides base zard which is obvious,
It looks like the “holy trinity” are roughly tied. shiny, gold star, and crystal
there are so so many other zards though. I was looking through my collection yesterday. I have a pretty awesome collection of zards including errors and varients
Some of these are so under rated like stormfront
