Skyridge Charizard 
Base set being the most nostalgic and Dark zard as the art that stands out most for me.
Would also be interesting to run an inverse of this - what would be the most disliked charizards …
Picked Base Set 2 for the cosmos holo.

Neo Destiny Charizard is the most over-rated zard in the history of the TCG. Its just a silver azz hanging out his pants.

If this included Japanese CD Charizard would be up there with base!
Best artwork imo. But I wanted to do only English set charizards

Honestly. Zard cards are usually boring to me. the poses are rarely interesting, and the execution is usually just nice, but not exceptional. The first one has great nostalgia, but that’s all.
I’d actually go with the re-hash in stormfront.
edit: images: these are actual favorites. The poses are more dynamic and grabbing.

I have found this to be the case, as well. I can’t think of many Charizard arts that make me say “wow.”
What was your expectation for dark charizard going to be?
It has both the nostalgic factor plus art shouts very strong thematic elements going for it, so I wouldn’t be too surprised (especially given the available choices).
Maybe 4th or 5th? I thought Blaine’s charizard would be more popular than dark charizard
