I’m not a Charizard fan at all, but I like these.
My favorite is the eCard Promo Nishida illustration.

I’m not going to make a pompus claim like I have one of the worlds best zard collections or anything like that. I dont even own 1st edition base zard, so i cant make claim to squat lol

I do have some interesting ones like black dot error base zard which is incredibly rare. I want to crack and resubmit actually. I think it has an outside chance of psa 10 which would make it the only 1 in the world and instantly one of the craziest zards out there but they are holding it to an incredibly difficult standard. I put it next to my base zard psa10 and think its just as good. They are reluctant to give a 10 on that card as none exist
I dont have world champions but I DO have power keepers psa 10. I dont have a good catalog of japanese zards as I’m working on maxing out my english collection atm
Some of these are a bit under rated like stormfront. I have a sick copy of that card
I have a stamped crystal guardians and it looks incredible. I have a grey stamped 1st edition Charmander that is pretty sweet
i have acquired a corrected blaines charizard that I’m getting ready grade. I think its in really really good condition with absolutely no whitening on the back. psa 10 is pop 8 and i think its got a great chance to be #9
I have sequential secret wonders holo and reverse holo. These are really cool. I
have some more modern stuff like flashfire, brilliant stars, ext but thats not too crazy
1st edition dark zard, many of the obvious staples I have shiny and gold star of course, but I’m missing crystal. Maybe just not too keen on paying big $$ for a card that i dont love
Of all the cards when i put them side by side, the one that stands out the most to me is the reverse zard from LC. I mean it’s obvious since its the most “blingy” zard but man is it absolutely striking. It’s slowly becoming my favorite!
I have a big thread on that card actually you might have seen it. Psa gave it a 9 but they only find one single “tiny” flaw.
I think the next step for me is to work on getting some of the 1995 and 1996 cards. Like red prism, green prism, ext

Idk how unpopular it is, but since it was never changed back I guess Pokemon disagrees;
Dragon types were a million times better on colorless cards

This pair is my mental image of how everything outside the illustration really accentuates the beauty of a card. Or rather, makes or breaks it.
Imagine this Flygon with washed out bumblebee and a dragon doodle.

I have some cards I know ppl dont really care about like cracked ice and 151, but they are part of the collection and I want to include them once i get back from psa.
since they are lower value I just use the bulk submission but it’s soo slow. Hopefully end of month

i’m compiling the blastoise poll right now (should be up later today). charizard will be next week. we can see how the

I think you underestimate how much we like seeing other people’s collections, regardless of what cards are actually in it and what condition they’re in. It’s not so much about the cards but more of what they mean to you and why you like them. You have an obvious passion for Charizard which is why I think your collection thread will be fun to look through.

I for one do not want everything to go to 0. It’s not like things will ever go back to what they were in even the remotest sense. It would be a lose-lose as far as I’m concerned.

I think it depends on collectors’ life circumstances. Those who are over-leveraged in the hobby and are hoping for some payout in the future are going to mind if it goes to zero. However, those who are financially secure and not dependent on their collection’s value may not mind at all.

Pretty hot take:
Team Rocket resellers/flippers in small proportion are a necessary evil.
Rational:
I would say the majority of collectors want to have items that people can’t get. If everyone could get every card, there’s not as much excitement. At least in the past sealed product shortage, resellers created a type of “hype” that got news outlets/other segments into trying to find Pokemon cards. More public exposure hopefully converts more into collectors. The stalking of employees/wiping out all product/getting into fights isnt what I’m talking about “being a necessary evil”…but in a moderate proportion.

similar to video games, better to have resellers around than just collectors who hoard everything and just stick them on a shelf never available for anyone else to purchase. at least if it being resold it is technically available
