Sorry man, it’s freakishly hard to get tens on vintage right now. The tiniest of tiny issues will make them 9 or 8 it immediately. It has to be modern level perfect.
Dont be shy to resub some of the more valuable ones if you think its 10 worthy.
I got an 8 on a surprise box Umbreon that i pre-graded as perfect. I resubed with a higher tier and it came back a 10 on the second sub
My first sub this year came back with 0 psa10s
My second sub came back 18/25 tens.
I pregraded both subs to be about the same quality level
So dont get overly discouraged. I realize its costly to regrade and also takes a long time. But if you have any big holos in the sub maybe its worth another shot. For a huge sub like that the grader could be overwhelmed and put in a bad mood. Maybe seperate the holos

Got some awesome grades on a sub I’ve been waiting a while for:
First time I’ve graded a Top 8 IC promo as a 10, very surprised but stoked for it. Hoping I can do the same with an English copy sometime.
Pulled the Eevee myself, best hit from Prismatic so far.
Bought the Flareon on release weekend, was hoping to capitalize on someone selling a fresh pull and worked out.
And an Umbreon, glad Japanese cards are back to easy grades.

IT’S THAT TIME AGAIN!!
It always feels good to get 10s on EN rev holos. I am back to 100% on SV (13 cards)
I was gifted this by the lovely @Tapp in the hopes of a 10. First time around, it came back as a PSA 9. Third second time’s the charm, PSA 10. I love the little Snorunts running in the background.
The highlight this time, Reverse Holo Unified Minds Snorunt. With this, I am finished all of the holos from SM. I just need the nonholo Guardians Rising and that era is complete.
I’ve been getting good grades the past few subs. I’m slowly creeping up to a point in my collection where I’m going to have to wait for cards to hit the market. I’m now at 55/67, 82% for a PSA 10 master set. Just 12 more.

Those edges and corners look pretty rough.
This is a deflating time to collect, the 10/9 or bust mindset is very prevalent, but it’s still a great card!

Find me a cgc 6 that looks that good. There will always be heavy corner damage, lifted edges, chipping chunks, severe whitening, ext
There must be something else they found
Maybe if they gave me a 7.5 -8 i could say okay they didnt like the edges (dont see issues with corners)
This is now below raw card value. Oh well!

confused as well, just from pics you sent it looks mad clean to me, does cgc have the same psa rule where any dent however minor bumps it down to a 6?

I think cgc allows a dent on grades as high as 8.5

So, I’m stuck using value plus for PSA going forward. I submitted this batch three weeks ago while a value bulk submission is still not in the grading phase after 3 months…
Anyways, I got some pretty great results. I’ll start with the JP Ethan’s Adventure which got a 10! This is really the only card I feel I absolutely need from Destined Rivals as well (a long with the Typhlosion AR)
Next is a cracking success story. I pulled the Ray Delta Species Stamp last year and originally submitted it and got a 9. It was cleanest 9 I’ve ever seen, and this next reviewer must have agreed with me! Awesome PC piece
I also got somewhat unlucky though with this Pikachu Emerald Stamp getting an 8. This is also the cleanest 8 I’ve ever gotten back, so it’s probably getting cracked
And finally, these two guys. Not that surprised, but I might crack the Entei and send it out to BGS for a potential 9.5. it’s also stupid clean besides a singular microscopic printline
Very stoked on the Rayquaza stamp and the Cyndaquil SIR!!

I was also asking to check if it is something you missed during your pre-grading exercise. You have some really amazing cards but they always seem to fall short on your grading expectations. I am sure you are probably only sharing the outliers as info but maybe you can check this card with a different company and see if it is upto your standard.
What I am trying to say is, it is a shame to see you always dissappointed with your card grades despite the amazing cards themselves. Maybe you are too lenient (?) and need to re-calibrate how you pre-grade your cards, worse case, you just have a string of bad luck with grading. I wish it works out for you in the end, else it makes for a stellar binder copy.
