As far as social media is concerned, the artist never posted (other Kanazawa postcards have been credited) and Harada doesn’t post Pokémon :man_shrugging:

I would guess no. Its too technically accurate.

haha. Was thinking that too. A little too clean, but still has a little of that sketch-like quality… Thx, PFM! Good reasoning.

I know I’m late to this post but this art is just wonderful to look at!

Why is it that random bug middle evolutions like Swadloon and Spewpa have so many so good arts?

Bought this Vivid Voltage Ninjask with art by the legendary Komiya and I have no idea what’s meant to be going on but I love it. Ninjask looks like it has crash-landed maybe (?) and the homeowner in the back looks terrified lol.

Although I still love Komiya’s arts, I do miss these ones that were sort of based in reality and no overwhelmed by psychedelic colour explosions that make you feel like you’ve taken some strong LSD.

I feel ya. I actually started liking Komiya more when his water became psychedelia acid trips. Though the ones still rooted in reality are more appealing to me as well. Kinda like how impressionists started using weird colors and unreal shapes to convey what they were seeing (Monet going blind for example). I also like the Shedinja that goes with this… it makes little sense, but it’s just committed to weird.

Still not managed to track down the Kusube Haunter book BUT, one of my searches did yield a few other nice Tales books. These were pretty cheap because they aren’t minty, and the Doduo book is missing the dust jacket, but I’m totally fine with that as the art inside is what I’m interested in!

Komiya! It was so amazing seeing brand new (to me) Komiya artwork for the very first time!

Kinebuchi for Magnemite (who else would be a better fit, really?). I love the old CG art from Kinebuchi and CR CG so this is a cool little book.

…and Miki Tanaka for Slowpoke. Again, who else would be a better fit than the artist for the iconic Fossil Slowpoke?

I did see some others I want to pick up too such as the Onix by Benimaru Itoh. I’m fairly sure that book is where the art for the Gym Heroes Brock’s Onix comes from. But I need to slow down on purchases until after Christmas really.

Hehe I’m sure the water isn’t even ankle deep for us but for weedle it’s the ride of his life.

Does feel like there is a huge contrast between this weedle and the articuno that has been posted before this.

Skyridge (and aquapolis) blessed us with so many Fukuyama artworks. It’s a shame that this would be the last set she would illustrate for.
