My favourite Snivy art: I love it when artists take real biological concepts like mimicry and create Pokemon or artwork around them. There are so many incredible animals in our world that might as well be Pokemon.

It’s from the Japanese EX Battle Boost 002/093/ English Legendary Treasures 6/113 sets. BW era.

I’m… not sure if Emolga should drink that.

Almost certain this is happening all in the same environment, Masakazu Fukuda illustrated all of these cards during Majestic Dawn, Legends Awakened and POP Series 8.

Pretty cool when combined together, love the cherry blossoms. I like Riolu from the japanese mewtwo lv.x deck.

These two Umbreon artworks put side-by-side are really cool! I think Arita does a fantastic job of showing Umbreon’s cat-like personality. In the Aquapolis one, the Umbreon is sly, alert, cunning

However in the Mcdonald’s promo one, Umbreon is a lazy cat, sunbathing and not caring about anything/anyone… love it

Get ready to give your mind some space for when you enter this entry halfway back when you see it cuz it’s gonna expand.

Not sure if this one has been mentioned, but to not acknowledge it would be an absolute CRIME.

I was sorting some random cards and I have only noticed today that there were a Pikachu and a Psyduck on the background of this Vending Series 2/QSGS card:

Shame on me

Shadows talk to the location of things, textures, where the source of light is coming from and much more. So much can be told through shadow. Ueda’s 2006 Ex Sandstorm Kabutops exemplifies many of these previously mentioned shadow elements to illustrate the cave’s darkness, the location of the Pokemon as it peers through a cave opening, and the Pokemon’s emotion as it grimaces with an aggressive stance and appearance. I really like this illustration. Other recent posts got me excited about discussing Pokemon art.
