Everyone better make sure they’re quick on their preorders else we’re gonna see a lotttttt of whining. Keep an eye on your twitter feeds, email/newsletter subscriptions, set alarms if you have to. This seriously looks geared to be the best modern set released to date. Dunno about any other UK collectors but I am dreading trying to navigate the Total Cards website when preorders hit…
Trust me shit is bad in Canada. There was a major discussion with regards to CP recently on one the Facebook groups. Store owner took so many pre orders months in advance, only to cancel literally everyone and then sold on his site for resale. Got kicked out of the FB group. Short term gains will not equate to long term sustainability. Unethical business practices comes back to bite you in the future. For every hidden fates and champions path, there is a crimson invasion and steam siege. And during the bad times you need your customer base.
I think there’s a good chance it’ll be the remaining rrs/alt. arts of deoxys/espeon, darkrai/umbreon, trevenant & dusknoir, and the baby trio gxs. We’ve already gotten part of the sets from all four, several of them as promos so I could see them putting the last of them in these tag team tins. I’m still holding out hope for the gold cards but I don’t think we’re getting them or the rest of the full art supporters in english.
This is officially a bubble. You are all hyped up for preorders on something that cannot even be ordered by stores and distributors yet.
With the way allocations has been for the last 2 sets, It will be crazy for stores to offer any preorder until they know exactly what they will be getting. Cancelling a bunch of orders is just gonna piss people off and make unnecessary work for staff.
gottaketchumall is right. With how heavily allocated CP and VV is and how they are released in waves. Stores will be ordering 10-20x more than they want/afford to take in anticipation of only getting 20-30% of what they ordered. This will drive up a huge inflated demand and cause even greater allocation by Pokémon to balance the product among all their distributors.
One day this will bite everyone in the ass when Pokémon decide to go nuts and “print to demand” and fulfill all store orders.
As a store owner this product is becoming scary. I have to order 10x what I want in hopes of actually getting 20% of what I actually want. And also be prepared to cough out 100% of what I ordered in the event there is no allocation.
This Tag Team V tin was as the distributor described it, could be bad copy pasting indicating new V tins similar to the previous tag team tins shape. Not the first time distributors do this. Or something really new is coming we don’t know of.
You do realize you/people have a choice right. If you think it’s a bubble, don’t buy. It’s that simple. If you have a store/business, you assumed that risk while opening one. If you think Pokémon isn’t the way to go, focus on other things. Same applies for people that don’t think it’s a bubble and are buying at high prices. No one is forcing anyone to be a part of this if they don’t want it. There’s no reason to whine. Everyone has a right a to choose. For some reason, people keep forgetting that.
