@pikachutcg Ha, congrats - I got shafted by a busy-ass day at work so never saw TC’s twitter notification till now FML… They’re releasing more ETBs & pin boxes for preorder according to their comments though so fingers crossed! As good a company as they are, I’ve gotta say their website is absolutely awful to navigate and checkout on so I’m not too optimistic about snagging a couple

They restocked the boxes a couple of times during the afternoon. The orders were limited to 1 per customer. Shame they don’t have PayPal.
This set is already stressing me out. Won’t feel safe until I have some preorders locked in.

Absolutely unprecedented times in the hobby that’s fer troo. I keep wondering what strategies TPCI will take once COVID is out of the way (I presume it has some level of impact on printing bottlenecks/distribution)… they’re *almost* literally sitting on a bunch of money printers at this point. In the short term they’re just stuck with the problem of having to strike a frustrating balance between maximising print for each product, while ensuring they continue with releases of new sets & evolving the hobby.

Obviously, there’s not a lot of concrete information out, but are we expecting this set to be structured like hidden fates; with the main set and a shiny vault subset within it?

I wonder what will happen to Hidden Fates when this is released
Probably drop in the short run, but gradually climb back up. Based on historical trends of popular sets. But take that for what it is…nobody can predict the future.

Price is something we cannot predict for sure. I was more curious to whether Hidden Fates will continue to get printed when Shiny Star V is released
