@lyleberr . I always end up taking the hard way. I don’t ever think it’s a poor use of time. As they say the process is the creation! As you say helps me grow imaginatively and creatively. My finished product is always different from my original idea. How’d Secret Santa go ? Did I miss the reveal?

Not yet, step 4 is tentatively complete but hustle and bustle of the holiday season, and an ill timed cold, hasnt let me verify just yet. Hopefully that can be done this week and step 5 shouldnt take long. Then I’ll be able to get it delivered pretty quickly and the project can be considered completed. I should probably choose less intensive arts and craft goals but “In for a penny, in for a pound” as they say.

I use Medibangpaint! It’s a free program for pc! Depending on the project I use a mix of Medibang, Photoshop, or Premiere Pro (‘for animating’) Medibang is a program I have a little beef with so I’ve been thinking of hulling-ass to another free program called Krita, or just sucking up and paying for Clip Studio Paint…
My school provides an Adobe suite but idk what im gonna do next year when I go to big boy college haha. I’ll probably end up piggy-backing off of someone else’s school account.
Digital art will always be my favorite medium!

I went through my Procreate folder and I don’t think I’ve posted these before. These are some of the paintings I did for the 2023 Art Contest. In the end I didn’t think these were good enough but it’s nice to share and maybe someone can get inspiration off of them or make them better.

The recent years of the official illustration contest (the international ones that are 18+ at least) is really just for older ultra-super-professional artists I feel… but this year I’ll give it a shot for funzies!
