Here’s a Spiritomb I needle felted some time back!
Just a random thing I found today: I had never seen that pose for Charmander before (the one where he’s holding his tail), but I just found it today while browsing some lots. I was immediately reminded me of your drawing once I saw it
It must have been in some sticker set or similar that was released in finland too, my imagination was pretty much limited to copying something small stickers into bigger drawings
I’m sure most are busybusy working on their art contest submissions!
But I’ll give the thread a bump with a crochet Bulbasaur I made for a friend a while back. Wish I had taken better pictures before handing it off, but I wasn’t concerned with taking more flattering pictures at the time.
I just think these are all so darling.
Do you do commissions?
Thank you!
I just recently tried opening commissions (I finished one and am working on one currently), but I’m still in the process of deciding whether it’s for me or not. Almost every time I finish a piece to give away (like the Bulbasaur above), a large part of me would really just prefer to keep it for myself
Saying that, I think I wouldn’t mind making some things for some E4 members though, as I know they’d be going to a good home I’ll send a DM your way to discuss.
Not gonna lie, for second I was thinking about making Darkrai art for the art competition but thank goodness I scrapped that idea because yours is much better what I would have done.
Looks sick—I really like the shading style!
No you should totally do it still! And thank you for the kind words
Thanks! Yeah I made it at work. Black and red pens and a little blue highlighter for the eye
Using watercolours, and inspired by my mischievous, plant-loving cat Pekoe, I painted a curious Espeon investigating a bouquet of sunflowers!
This was a practice round before I worked on my submission for the annual E4 art content! I painted this before I bought more watercolour paper, so I used a sample of Tomoe River Paper which I had purchased in 2020-2021 ish.
Wonderful, just like your official subs. Your watercolor work is beautiful, and I too have a cat that likes his plants (way, way too much), so this hits a major chord!
Thank you so much Brendan! Watercolour is so much fun and very freeing as long as I have some patience! Practicing for the E4 art content was actually really helpful because I did each piece over the course of several evenings, so I could actually let the layers properly dry which was beneficial to the final product. In the past I used to be a bit too impatient and would get frustrated when the layers would blend without my intending them to do so! So this time I found a few new techniques that made everything more fun.
As for silly cats and their obsession with plants… it can be frustrating keeping them out of trouble! :') Everytime I bring my toxic-to-cats plants down from their high shelf, to water them, Pekoe has to be right there to investigate them (but thankfully she doesn’t bite them lol!)
Thanks again
Update: Triple did not get this
I love everyone’s art
Here’s another watercolour piece, this time on actual watercolour paper, and inspired again by my cat Pekoe.
Inspiration
She was watching intently through the bouquet of dried catkins as I painted the sunflower art from before. For those wondering, she has indeed knocked the vase down a few times, and created a mess in the process Pekoe always wants to be involved in anything you are doing, and also has a tendency to drool over and lick any paper she sees because she is pushing her nose into your hand (she’s recently ruined a birthday card and a rent cheque doing this). On this occasion she was mad at me for pushing her away from the artwork! But she gave me inspiration for another piece, so all’s well that ends well.
