My goal is a binder with unlimited base, fossil jungle, black star promos and southern islands. Having a great time getting some of the lower-priced items already. I feel like it is pretty attainable and I will enjoy it for years to come.

After about 9 months of no movement, I purchased an Expedition Reverse Holo I was looking for. Down to 1 card left for the 159 card set: #63 Skarmory (pop 5). Will be a huge goal achieved after years of working on the set. Tough goals take time.

Working on a shadowless base set. Have slowly been accumulating them over the years as I have bought and sold collections, so I figured it’s time to get serious about it and finish it up.

Short(er) term I would love to do a graded master set of evolutions in PSA 10. That would be my first master set.
Long(forever) term first edition base set. I’m about 88ish cards into the 103 card set. Extremely difficult considering my financial situation. But I can dream!

That tends to be my favorite section of E4. I love seeing other people’s collections. Hearing people’s goals here. And just seeing others enjoy the hobby

Still working on English sets. Gotten cards piece by piece over the last seven years and I’m 96% done.

Honestly, I’m quite sporadic haha! Just kinda buy random stuff that looks cool or is a killer deal. A lot of the time I see or read about a card/set and think “Oh, I want that!” then forget about it in the mass of other random things that tickle my interests. Vending was one of those until I got to Japan and found an old card shop in Akiba and remembered vending was a thing and it was awesome!
-Currently, collecting all WoTC series foils in Japanese. Not yet the E-series, but eventually.
-Masaki progress is only Gengar so far
-Struggling with VS Series, not many useful listings on Mercari for VS at the moment.
-Nearly completed Carddass set.
-Am considering Sealdass, but haven’t decided if I want to invest there at the moment or focus elsewhere.
-Gold Stars are a goal, but man is that money. VERY slow going there. Maybe one every few months if I can snag a deal. Was originally doing English, but transitioned to Japanese because the pictures are what matter to me. The silver border has been growing on me though, and it helps being able to read Japanese, even only a little.
-Full ex era, ex set. Including Play promos.
-Considering no rarity Base set stuff as well. Hard to come by good condition versions though.
-Full art trainers, but those I will be waiting to acquire till after rotation occurs, and possibly even further after that. Only part of my collection that consistently hemorrhages value.
-Maybe the delta species reverse foils as well. I was collecting them in the states and I feel they are quite underrated. Many of the arts are gorgeous and the stamp can add a nice little flair to the card.
-Probably many others that I can’t think of haha!
-For yu-gi-oh, Dark Magician Girl MFC-000 1st edition…and Dark Magician DDS-002.
Lots and lots of goals, they just happen whenever they do haha! I eventually want to make a collection post, but sadly most of my stuff is back in the states and I can’t get good photos of the cards… Maybe in August when I am trying to come back for a visit.

Hey guys I have been a little overwhelmed with needing to fix old pictures and catch up with the hundreds of recent purchases I’ve done. I’m going to make a YouTube video or two. Possibly three to record my whole collection so far. I’m currently not a YouTuber at all but seems like a easier way to display my collection. I will talk a little about my story while displaying. I will upload in a few hours. I hope you guys enjoy. Not doing edits and first one with a crappy Android but with flash it should be much better lighting then my previous pictures. I collect Japanese promos but did not have a very hard goal set till a few months back, would collect as and when I had the opportunity and had a good deal coming my way. However, I am now focusing on collecting all the cards from the Carddass Anime Collection (Gen 1 and gold / silver collection). When I first heard of these cards, I immediately resonated with them as the anime was my first connection with Pokemon. I absolutely love the fact that these cards remind you of certain scenes in the anime and you just try and recollect what the episode was about.

If you look at ex era the artwork is amazing.
I’m also more fan of WOTC but in my opinion the art is at overal better in the ex era.

I’m building the 4 Tier 1 base set format decks (all 1st edition moderate play average[psa 3-6]), and I may move to tier 2 base set format decks or other formats after that.

After a 6 month break, I got back into collecting this spring and have been quietly buying some fun stuff, mostly non-set cards. One thing I’d really like in my collection is a card with an award “shield”. Doesn’t matter how small/low-tier the trophy. I think that’s going to be my endgame collection goal to center my collection around. It’s lower hanging fruit than some crazy full psa10 set, but unique enough to satisfy me and give me some closure that I have assembled a pretty ok collection.

When I recently started collecting, my two goals have become a complete WOTC Black Star promo set (mostly PSA 10, but settling for PSA 9 Eevee/ Venusaur) and a sealed collection of the Best of Game packs.

My current goal is to collect a complete PSA 9 Holo set of 1st edition base set. Currently about a third of the way done.

Goal #1: Working on “pack fresh” (PSA 8-9 quality, but must have a minty front) binder sets of:
Binder #1: 1st edition, shadowless and unlimited base, plus error cards although idk if Ninetales is happening, may someday be a master set.
Binder #2: 1st edition and unlimited jungle and fossil, no symbols, prereleases, errors, etc.
Binder #3: 1st edition and unlimited team rocket and base 2. Slightly lower priority than the first two.
Binder #1 is the closest, only need about 25 cards almost all non-holo. Still have a ways to go on holos from the other sets but making steady progress.
Goal #2: building up a good amount of NM unlimited base-fossil to build vintage decks with and play (I know I shouldn’t be picky about condition for play cards but I am. Everything will be sleeved for play anyway). I have a couple built so far and am currently working towards building 8 decks in total but may do more still. Would love to have a tournament with some friends. Mostly need more of some of the popular rares and holos that are used in many decks. Building 2 haymakers, and then one (primarily) of each energy type: Arcanine, Alakazam damage swap, Venusaur Pokemon center, Hitmonchan/Wigglytuff, rain dance, and Buzzapdos. At some point I may also assemble a base-fossil cube.
