Doubtful…the “serious buyers/collectors” group who wield the cash and the desire to have this card at *almost* any cost was already a short list to begin with. You’re making it sound like there were hoards of people waiting to shell out $50k+ on this card, and that’s likely not even close to the reality. Just barely over 50 bids is actually extremely low for an item of this magnitude, indicating that the majority of bidders set a limit for themselves and stood firm when that limit was passed.
I think we all hope the buyer ends up paying and that the auction was completely legit, because that would be a crazy boon to the hobby, but let’s not pretend that the players involved weren’t pretty much already set in stone the moment this bid was listed on eBay (assuming the bids were/are legit).

@garyis2000 Sorry to hear that. It’s a shame some people had to go and mess up what was a legit record setting auction. If it did actually sell the precedent may have been set lower than it could have been
is there any end to these prices jumping? haha its insane! also kinda weird how pwcc auctions always exceed buy it now prices that have been literally sitting on ebay

As for the BGS 9.5 Shadowless Charizard…
Typical BGS 9.5. I don’t think I’ve gotten one from a seller that hasn’t had any foil scratches.
I don’t know about a Fossil Scyther, but I bought the jungle one 
. I figured now is a good time to pick up some Jungle/Fossil holo cards. Just a few months ago they were selling for $400+ range and now they’ve dropped $250 or lower. What’s the saying in stocks, buy low sell high?
