I’ve been really appreciating the non-holo versions of popular holo cards. This Houndoom from Aquapolis is stunning as is. I would go as far to suggest that the holo subtracts from Kusajima’s illustration and palette.
When it comes to Legendary Collection, the reverse holos get all the attention (and rightly so). While the regular holos are less exciting, one overlooked fact is that it’s the only way to get Dark Vaporeon (and Dark Persian) in holo form. The galaxy holo pattern is often overshadowed by the cosmos holo, but I feel it works well for cards with muted color palettes such as this one.
