howdy yall!
my name is solstice, and i’m currently working on collecting all ENG swablu/altaria cards, and yuka morii! i am an active competitor in the pokemon TCG and recently went to my first regional event in atlanta! i don’t plan on going pro, but if i could day 2 at a regional event i’ll feel accomplished :3 my next goal after completing my yuka morii collection is to start working on my HYOGONOSUKE collection! feel free to message me, im pretty much an open book and willing to make friends :3

Hi all, I’m an oldy to the hobby. I’ve been collecting since base set but I did not catch it on the front end. As a kid i worked my butt off to make enough change to buy my first booster box - the Legendary Collection. I pulled a handful of mainstay grails from the box, like the reverse holo Charizard (now graded a 9), normal holo charizard, and quite a few others. At this time I have an obsession with discovering undocumented repeating errors and fleshing them out online for the error card community to learn. It takes a lot of focus and patience to prove these errors are repeating and gauge how rare they are to find. Part of this journey is to spite The Pokemon Company and PSA for blowing off the error card community so nochalantly and hopefully have a knowledgeable community of collectors that can at the very least apply a small amount of pressure to get recognition of legitimate repeating errors. This community shouldn’t take disrespect from these companies so lightly. So spread the word in other forums and if you get your hands on one of the cards I document and intend to grade it - request that the error be acknowledged. One thing to know about me is that i like repeating errors; I don’t care for miscuts or one-offs. This is because introducing a repeating error to someone gives them an opportunity to go on the hunt for it. Repeating errors don’t have to stop at, “oh yeah that’s cool to look at”, they can put you on a journey to find it for yourself if you desire and I love that feeling. When I learn about one it’s like being gifted with a side quest and I feel I’m gifting someone out there a little side quest when I introduce it to them. So If you like repeating errors tune in because you’re going to learn about some that have never been documented.

Hi everyone! I’m Doomrai. Figure I should introduce myself here!
I’m just a gal who’s been into Pokémon for as long as I can remember.
I was gifted a GBA and both Ruby and Sapphire by a family member on a trip once and it completely rewired my brain. I still own them to this day! This was during the era of D/P/Pl… and The Rise of Darkrai aired on TV. Because of that film, Darkrai quickly became my favorite Pokémon. Earlier this year I got back into the franchise after being out of it for a few years, and inspired by DPM’s Gengar Master Set series I started to Species Master Set Darkrai: a goal I’ve had since I was a kid. With only one Darkrai I ever obtained in childhood to start me off, I’m now 30 out of 58 English Darkrai Cards deep.
During the X/Y era I started to casually shiny hunt which I’m much deeper into now. Currently SRing for a Shiny Darkrai to Ribbon Master. On summer break from college right now, waiting for jobs to get back to me, so with nothing better to do why not?

I’ve been a Pokémon fan all my life, growing up with generations 1 and 2, only briefly falling out of love with the franchise at the tail end of generation 4 before diving back in wholeheartedly when generation 5 came about.
I collected the cards as a kid but “grew out” of the hobby and gave them all away to a family member, and he no longer has them. I don’t remember what I had of value, besides Ancient Mew, but they all would’ve been in ropey condition anyway.
Got back into collecting cards again with my wife during the XY era I think, before the Pokémon Go boom happened. Huge love for cards from those sets.
TCG Pocket has got me kind of obsessed with the hobby again, not a great time to get back into things unfortunately lol.
I enjoy watching YouTube videos about the hobby, and learning about the history of the cards. Yesterday I made my own video showing off my wife’s work-in-progress master set of Jirachi.
If you watch this video please be nice lol, I was nervous sharing my hobby with the world.
Elite Fourums has been hugely helpful in finding info on niches such as limited promos and cameo cards. I feel like I’m in the right place as someone who sometimes gets a bit obsessive over little details!
