Thanks, I appreciate the warm welcome. I’ve actually been lurking for a while, just reading and learning but now that something came up, and I need to ask for help, I figured it was finally time to make an account.
Welcome @germr ! It’s great to have you here. I like Japanese cards too and they are much more affordable than other languages currently.
That is the one of the main reason I started buying JP booster boxes, but even those are increasing. Hoping that at some point, even if it’s 1–2 years down the line, things calm down for English sets. I remember going to my card shop 8 years ago and buying a booster box. Now there are none, or they are more expensive than buying from scalpers.
Hello all, UK collector here. Grew up playing Emerald so a big Gen 3 fan. Always lurked but never created a profile so thought I’d finally get round to it. Good to meet you all!
Welcome @germr! I’ve always loved vintage Japanese cards for their exclusivity and unique stories, but I have come to appreciate modern Japanese more and more as English sets have gone crazy! Haha l, looking forward to hearing more from you and I hope things calm down enough for you to enjoy all sides of the hobby soon!
Welcome @germr. Glad to have you here. The forum is a great place to learn more about collecting and all the possibilities. Enjoy!
Welcome @CinnabarCollectibles . Emerald may have been the last game I played. I’m a bit of a lurker at times myself . Glad that you came out of the shadows. Enjoy
Welcome @CinnabarCollectibles ! It’s great to have you here. I’m glad you made the move from lurking.
Thanks for the welcome @niece! It’s just peak Pokemon for me, can’t wait to play it with my 1 year old once he’s older
Warmest welcome to the forum @germr and @CinnabarCollectibles . Super lovely to have you both. This is a really awesome place to discuss everything about collecting Pokemon. Looking forward to getting to know you guys better, about your interests and your collections. Have a fun time interacting with everyone.
Cheers!
Welcome, and I hope you have a great time here with the Elite Fourum community. JP offers a great alternative, and even with access to Eng over the years, JP has been my favorite… largely for nostalgia. Anyway, glad to have you here, @germr !
Glad you stepped out of the shadows, @CinnabarCollectibles !
Gen 3 had some really good character and game elements to it. Not where I started, but one of my faves, and fond memories of it!
Welcome to the forum!
