I really wonder how much that viewership revenue compares to the millions of dollars spent… just the ultimate example of life in the attention economy?
Welp, he might as well. He got scammed out of 3.5 million. Apparently he bought the boxes outside of Ebay so he isn’t under buyer protection. It might be some time before he sees all of his original 3.5 milllion so be might as well generate some funds in the meantime.
It’s already been publicly stated by Shyne that he’ll refund Logan if the case is fake. The real issue here is if the people who sold it to Shyne can afford to refund HIM, and any court proceedings that he may initiate.
That really doesnt mater at all. If a transaction constitutes fraud…you can legally go after them, and im sure Logan can afford some good lawyers.

People dont buy collectables worth millions without contracts.
Fair enough. I just assumed that a breach of contract claim would take some time to resolve in court. So, in the meantime, Logan could capitalize of this situation. But as mentioned, Logan does have the resources to obtain efficient lawyers.
My hope is, if the case does turn out to be fake, Shyne does indeed pursue legal recourse. The value of the item is likely high enough to justify that. It would be a huge win for the Pokémon community as a whole for the case to be traced to its origin and have monetary damages charged against those responsible. We all have our thoughts on who that could be, and one person in particular truly deserves to appear in court. Whether or not that person really is involved remains to be seen.
Thats not a statement from Shyne though? thats a statement from someone who claims they spoke to Shyne. Do we have any reason not to believe it? i guess not. But people can change their tune when it comes time to actually refund. I wouldnt be surprised if he came out and said “i never said that, they misunderstood what i said”
