Lies

Not an auction but there’s a fella on FB UK HUB group selling base box at £550 jungle/fossil £350, and shadowless packs at £35 each

Seem decent prices to me!

I’m pretty sure all of those prices are above market value. The base box seems especially high.

UK prices are always higher. I can buy boxes in the US for 600 usd. Boxes in the UK should be equal but they are almost twice the price.

That doesn’t make sense to me. Shipping from the US to the UK isn’t THAT expensive. Haha

wait didn’t it sell?

Go away. Lol

Or a Japanese middlemen who decided to keep the card for himself after placing the successful bid on my behalf. :slightly_frowning_face:

More to follow in another thread depending on how he responds to my request to do the right thing and honor our transaction.

Did you at least use good and services for payment? I’d feel hesitant to gift anyone money other than japanime. He’s earned his trusted reputation.

I haven’t paid for the card yet so no harm done. But the situation is very frustrating.

Silver lining?

If its in nr-mint / mint condition I dont think it was a bad price. I got outbid by only a 1000yen but the upside I won that TRR pack auction for only 10k yen.

I wish i had been more ambitious when Tara sold her stuff…

There is a difference between private sale and public auction.

How much did that khan on yahoo end up going for??

The ending price for the khan was ¥251,000 or $2,085. This is before middle fees.

Thanks, I really appreciate the words of support!

I’m pretty sure that most of you who have used me as a middleman know that I do it more for the enjoyment than the money. Pokemon is a hobby for me — not a business — and I like to help others who are hobbyists like myself. (For example, I once bid on several dozen one-yen auctions for a member here. I ended up earning about 50 yen in commission — woohoo!)
