Picked up a Lugia and a Rayquaza on eBay for $36 US- time will tell if this was a good price but man am I excited to see these in person!

AmiAmi uses the literal English of the Japanese name without a translation.
The Lab Mewtwo GX is holo on the Pokémon like the shinings!

Finally got all the Shinings.
MVP goes to Rayquaza. You get these cards in the light and OMG, they just POP.
I know I will be getting a set in PSA 10 for myself. Great mini set to collect.
Lab Mewtwo is really cool, very different from the other cards, so not really fair to compare. I can see that easily being some peoples favorite card.
Really hard to get images. I think the Rayquaza one is decent, but can’t really get the shinyness to stand out like in person.

My box should arrive around the 20th. I hope this set will be profitable to grade.
The cards are looking very good centering wise. Even the GX are really nice, I think all of mine are centered ok, not like past sets.
Not sure about profitable to grade. Probably worthwhile to grade the Shinings, obviously being fast and pulling certain ones will be better. I am sending in my first PSA order in a few weeks and will be sending in a bunch myself. Will help me hit 100 cards and they look really nice. I think a lot of people will want a graded set.
Boy this set is nice. Just opened my first two boxes and I’m very pleased. Got two shinings in each box (2 lugias, genesect, and celebi) and they are just beautiful. Every regular holo looks amazing as well, especially shaymin and hoopa. Only pulled one full art out out of the two boxes though (pokemon breeder) so those are going to be a pain to collect. Usually this is when I’d start buying singles but I’m thinking about getting a few more boxes first.

I am about 14 boxes in, about 5 SR/HR right now, looks to be about 1/3 boxes rate wise so far. Seem to be about the average?
That’s pretty low. Even early BW era boxes that had horrid pulls had a 1/2 SR rate.
I opened 6 and my breakdown was the same for all except I pulled one less RR in one box.

1 SR or better - No Hyper Rares.
I know I didn’t hear Japan International Trade complain about his box pull rate, so think it was similar to mine. Pretty sure when we were talking he would have said something if it was as horrendous as your pull rate.
@kanagawacards You got a SR in every box? From the 10 I opened, only 8 had them.
Yeah, but 1 was was only 2 RR, so 2 RR, 1 SR and 2 Shinings.
I just talked to Japan Trade International, he was about 50% pull rate for SR. Guess I was just lucky.
I opened 1 box and pulled 2 shinings and 2 regular gx.
