Rip the Chansey dream
Where are you guys preordering?
My last Japanese preorder was through hellojapan and I’ve yet to get my 25th anniversary order so I’d rather avoid them.
Dusknoir looks great but Morty looks lame. He’s doing nothing at all. Looks like an amateur drew it, which obviously isn’t the case, but disappointing compared to the others. He’s probably the only character so far (both from Cosmic Eclipse and VMAX Climax) that has absolutely no character or expression going on in his face or his stance. It doesn’t help that there seems to be nothing in the background either.
Also, did anyone notice that the set now extends up to 254 lol. Octillery CHR starts at 191 (but there has to be a couple grass Pokemon before it) and Blaziken, at 216 is a CSR, with probably a couple ahead of it. Not complaining about getting more character art, but whilst the CE ones only numbered 12 and were relatively easy to pull, we’ve now got about 22-24 of the same rarity and then at least another 38-40 on top of that.
They can’t even print enough product without having lotteries in Japan and yet they keep pumping out sets with dozens of basically secret rares (full arts are SR). Are they really that out of touch? I say dozens, but there were something like 70 or 80 in Chilling Reign, Evolving Skies and now VMAX Climax.
How is this sustainable at all? It’s now impossible to pull a master set (well, it’s been that way for awhile) for 99% of people and even if it’s about trading, the pull rates don’t exactly make that easy to do either. Maybe the 100 decks is their way of making it accessible to play, but that’s just creating more backlog to their supply chain issues, when they could just make it easier to pull and not have secret rares take up half the set.
As a Dream League stan, I am LIVING. I love that they’re giving so many newer artists opportunities to show off a range of styles on these.
And even a bonus sowsow for the regular Alcremie #blessed

But based on the set numbers of the Character Rares that have thus far been released, my wallet is not gonna like this set once it’s coming to English…

Based on these set numbers, all 185/184 through at least 254/184 are probably going to be Character Rares… 70 freaking Character Secret Rare cards. And then it probably contains some additional Full Art Supporters as well. Jeez. 
Ah well, at least the art of these cards are amazing…

Even the ‘boring’ ones are just a little meh but still nice additions. The actually good ones are breath taking,
I love that it’s flaffy having her fur brushed rather than ampharos in a combat pose. Shout out for the amazing Janine ninja pose with her ninja spider up on rafters.

There are only 30 confirmed though, likely all the non CSRs so 185-214.
Do they refer to secret rares in their marketing?
