In a cease and desist letter obtained by PokeBeach, the company has accused a seller of creating over 200 fake accounts to manipulate the price of the “Pikachu with Grey Felt Hat” promo card.

In this type of fraud, the seller uses fake accounts to “buy” the cheapest listings without paying for them (which temporarily removes them from the marketplace). This then allows the seller to offer their own listings for what they want the “cheapest” price to be.

I don’t think anyone is truly shocked. The Van Gogh fiasco will go down in history.

VSTAR Universe is the second most graded set all time, and could very well pass up base set (less than 20,000 cards behind).

That is wild, but shows how modern is insanely printed.

The whole theft and selling by the staff is very sad and I hope Pokemon takes it as a positive endorsement of their brand as opposed to a debacle that shouldnt be tried again. Hopefully with better communication though.

If you look at ‘similar’ popular promo cards from the past with relatively high pops like ancient mew i come to the conclusion that this card will be worth half in 2048😅

floor price in Europe went from 50€ to 70€ within 2 months this year. If you want to buy big amounts, shop are even asking 85-100€ per card

Really random post but found it interesting for those who purchased playmats from Pokemon center.

There seems to be a kind of cool error on these two playmats boxes

Pikachu X Eevee has the inspired by “The Bedroom” (Snorlax photo) incorrectly on the back

Snorlax X Munchlax has the inspired by “Self Portrait with Grey Felt Hat” and “Self Portrait with Straw Hat”
(Pikachu X Eevee) incorrectly on the back

I do also have a Snorlax X Munchlax with corrected inspired by “The Bedroom” back. So at some point it was corrected.
