I assumed the next gen console wouldn’t be a switch at all but some new third thing, but here we are. Man $450 plus $70 per game is a bitter pill

If these pokemon were a XY starter I would still say they would be hideous
Switch 1 came out in 2017. This game comes out in 2027. 10 years between consoles is the longest they have ever gone so personally don’t think it’s a bitter pill. Also you have at least a year to save up for it.

I’d just wait to get the new console until the games are released. They will probably do a bundle or special edition Switch for the game release

Honestly, I think they’ve gone 3/3 with these new starters.
Looking forward to doing a playthrough with Ponbon

Unpopular opinion: I think this is the first time I’ve genuinely liked all three starters since Gen 1.
We’ll see what they involve into, but I actually love the original forms.

Gosh I’m so excited! All 3 starters are really cute to me. I can’t pick at this stage until I know what their final evolution looks like! Please stay on 4 legs Pombon, we are counting on you!! xD
Diving looks like it will be a lot of fun too. The game just looks really good! Im really happy this is gonna be 5 years between generations instead of the usual 3. I think they realised they cant have another SV situation.
Bonus points that WiWa is really fun to say

All the new environments should look amazing on the Switch 2. Not really a fan of open world but hopefully should run a lot better than SV. I’m glad it’s not being rushed out this year.

Not sure that I understand the overly negative sentiment.
I think the location is phenomenal. Love the idea of having dive to explore the oceans. Great to see volcano terrain as well. The scene design reminds me of Indonesia, which feels unique and a departure from the European design choices of recent gens. It also feels distinct from Alola, despite both being island based.
The starters are pretty cute. I’m not sure that I could choose one before knowing the final forms, and I am a little scared to find out which one TPC will make bipedal and sexy. I think they will grow on me.
The generation name is okay. I might have preferred Pokemon Sky and Pokemon Sea.
