The games actually looked kind of nice, at least visually. The starters so far are honestly not really my taste.
What (positively) surprises me the most is that they won’t be released until 2027. This is the longest ever between two mainline generations (not counting the two Legends games obviously). This hopefully means that this time the games are not full of bugs but rather really well developed with a lot of well thought through features.
The game actually looks visually detailed and the frame rate was stable. A massive improvement that can’t be understated.
Not launching during the 30th anniversary is a fascinating choice given their track record, but it is the correct one. I want these games cooked in the oven until they’re just right. This is what a proper development cycle between mainline games should be.
Starters look so lame, one more water lizard after an inteleon fail? Why?, the fire starter looks like litleo got a pyroar fur, grass one is simply angry rowlet. Disappointing in starters . Atleast the releases of game visuals is good..
I thought the same, they have some generic features that seem a little Ai generated to me. The gecko is kinda cute, but they don’t feel 100% like Pokemon.
I got the impression the game isn’t about exploring a massive world and spending a little time in a bunch of routes and cities, but rather deep mysteries in a smaller area. That intrigues me. Just an impression.
Much better, yeah it could be that “smooth” 3d they use. It almost reminded me of those Pokemon clone projects you see everywhere, but it can totally be a wrong gut feeling
I’m hyped! Game looks nice and seems like it’ll be a lot of fun to explore. It seems like there are a lot of different areas to explore! The ability to go underwater again was a nice surprise. Not sure how I’m feeling about the starters but Browt is my favorite of the three.
I’m wondering if it’s going to be open world again like Scarlet and Violet. Definitely seems like it from what I’m gathering from the trailer. I also wonder if there are going to be gyms or if they’re going to do something like the island kahunas in Gen 7. If there are gyms and if it’s open world, I really hope that you can tackle the gyms in any order and the leaders scale their team based on the amount of badges you have.
