I imagine Pokémon wants to promote the Indonesian market next as its population is comparable with the US (and the Thai-Indo tcg is already established)

Already have physical copies and consoles for everything from Gen 1 to Gen 7 
Although to be honest nowadays I most enjoy playing roms with randomizers.

Unpopular opinion: I think this is the first time I’ve genuinely liked all three starters since Gen 1.
Was thinking the same but not bold enough to say it
I just hope they keep the classic turn based battle system.

I actually like the Grass bird and the Fire Pomeranian.
I am just afraid they go with the usual typings. Grass/Flying like Decidueye and Fire/Dark or Fire/Fighting for the doggo.
And something feels like this Water type salamander thing will turn into a leg-less snake thing.
I really hope we’ll get a Grass/Fighting type and a Water/Ghost type (since you know, salamanders are great at camouflaging). For the Pomeranian… I just don’t know, I hope they go with some Chinese Liondog theme and make it Fire/Ground or Fire/Rock.

Starter name interpretations from Bulbapedia,
Browt may be a combination of eyebrow and bean sprout, and possibly brute (referencing its angry-looking expression).
(JP) ハブロウ Haburou may be a combination of 葉 ha (leaf) and eyebrow.
Pombon may be a combination of Pomeranian and bonfire. It may also involve pom-pom.
(JP) ポムケン Pomuken may be a combination of Pomeranian, 炎 homura (flame), and 犬 ken (dog).
Gecqua may be a combination of gecko and aqua (Latin for water) or acqua (Italian for water).
(JP) ミオリー Miorī may be a combination of 水 mizu (water) or 澪 mio (waterway) and 守宮 yamori (gecko).

I don’t think it looks like a gecko at all…
It is already officially the Water Gecko Pokémon, maybe it’s based on the Indonesian Tokay gecko which is blue-grey
