I’d say this set is more accessible than any set we have had. It’s going to be advertised and promoted AND released all year round. I’d be interested to see sales numbers and how many packs get sold compared to a typical set release with booster boxes.
My distributor is saying that mew collection boxes are allocated and out of print already. Just an FYI. I was in for 2 cases. Interesting to see what the value does on these, but I think they will do well.
There will be no full arts in this set. Or at least that’s the way it looks from the numbering system. Full arts are always the last cards in a set, but in Generations the last cards are energies. The last set to feature energies and full arts was XY, and in that the energies came before the FAs.
However we’ve seen full arts in Generations (namely Articuno) and that was a normal numbered card. While its unlikely, they could incorporate full arts of the regular EX cards into the normal set. But my best guess is no EX FAs at all.
Well let’s see, according to this, there’s 83 cards in the main set, not including the 32 cards from Pokekyun. That makes 115 cards already, which is above the 110+ advertised. There are EX FAs confirmed for Venusaur, Charizard, Blastoise, and Pikachu EX, but it seems like they will be promos in the Red & Blue collection boxes (which also contain Generations packs like the Mythical collection boxes). So yeah, it could very well be that there will be no EX FAs aside from the Gardevoir / M Gardevoir EXs from Pokekyun in the Generation packs themselves.
My theoretical assessment would be its like a mini set but a mega set if that sounds right. Think Dragon Vault, multiple options with a single specific card but released individually over a time frame. I presume you could complete a set with multiple Mew boxes? just not have all the box specific cards at that point…?
Hah in that case im getting some boosters tomorrow just to keep them sealed. then opening the rerelease of breakpoint later on. This is kinda cool might be worth something in the future.
