I also know from researching these past couple of days that the non-TCG 20th Anniversary Pokemon products seem to be fairly difficult to find as well. For example, the limited edition Pikachu and Mew plushies that were released on 2/1 at Gamestop in the US was apparently limited to two per store and often sold out before the street date even hit. The Tomy Clip-on Pokeballs/figures are also similarly hard to find, and all these products are being resold on eBay for prices way higher than their MSRP already.
My word of advice for anyone who’s interested in this stuff would be to figure out when/where the things you want are going to be available and to be prepared for it. Preorder if that option is available or you may end up at the mercy of scalpers later on.
I think that was more of an effect of longer production run. I can still order those at my distributor. With Charizard the demand is always there IMO. Just often times they crank up the supply to match or exceed. Depends on how they treat this one. My guess is a more limited run as all of this generations stuff will be.
I think that the Charizard/Venusaur/Blastoise/Pikachu Boxes they said they’d do were always going to contain the Generations Packs, we all just forgot about it.
I think it’s still more or less a reality that outside of Promo Boxes like this you won’t find Generations packs.
im a little confused (sorry im not used to being interested in much other than general english set releases. Am I correct in assuming that this generations set is being released year round with the Same packs coming in different promotional boxes which each come with their own special promo?
Ok cool, and are these special promos going to be a part of the “set” meaning you have to buy every box to complete it (unless you buy second hand) or will they be a promo parallel set?
