Pokemon TCG Generations/Mythical Pokemon Box Thread

Where are people getting cases of these from and roughly how much are they?

Oh wow, they’re really beautiful OvO

Definitely need that box. Amazing artwork on that Charizard *-* I just hope my trusted Finnish card game online store is going to have all these Generations stuff because they don’t always have all the Promo boxes or blisters there are available.

Btw, does anybody know why the US and European boxes differ sometimes? Why do we get a jumbo card here and the US gets figurines? I never managed to figure out the reason. It has confused me since the Mega Charizard X & Y boxes came out as I didn’t find the figurine version from any European seller. Meanwhile a Mega Rayquaza EX box with a figurine was sold in here. I don’t get it…

I pre-ordered mine through Shaun Kauffman. sgkauffm@indiana.edu

Best rates I’ve found, will do bulk orders, and will ship anywhere.

There is a long history of European products differing slightly from US releases. Maybe I’ll write an article up on it.

I recall reading that it was an issue with laws regarding toy safety that barred the TCG boxes with figurines from being released in Europe as they are in the US. It’s kind of ironic since chocolate Kinder eggs are banned in the US for similar safety reasons but European countries don’t seem to have a problem with that. Doesn’t really add up to me.

Can you find where you read this for me? I’d love to trace that back and see if there’s an official statement somewhere.

I couldn’t find an official source, but if you look at the product pages on Bulbapedia (search for ā€œsafetyā€), it has the safety concern thing listed for every figure box and a mention that the boxes with jumbo cards were made as replacements for the European market instead.

Yeah, good job guys. You do you. Even Call of Legends changed the artwork on the reprints.

I don’t like when people call Non-Embossed cards Full-Arts. Really, hope these are embossed. Because based off of the pictures they seem to be regular holo cards with artwork that takes over the entire card…

Why does a Full Art card have to be Embossed for it to be a Full Art card? Not having a go, genuinely curious as to why this is the qualifier for something being called Full Art?

I always thought non-embossed cards were called extended arts?

It depends on if the art is over the whole card, that’s it, like if it’s a full card art it’s known as a full art. The term for the cards you are looking for are sr/ur I would say.

This is the qualifier I have always used. Full Art = The art covers the whole card(border allowed). As the name implies.

Nobody is going to call these cards just Holos. Everyone will say Full Art.

Praying For Full Art Ultra Rare Mega 003,006&009 In Generations! I am confident that the 4th unannounced mega is Charizard Y.

That awkward moment when it’s M Gardevoir EX from Pokekyun. :sob:

If anyone is looking for a decent deal on getting these mailed to them, Squeak’s Game World has them for $9.50 + Shipping if you’ll take it unboxed. Which is rad, in my opinion.

What if it’s a way to weigh the packs?
