I like this Mewtwo, at least.
I don’t really like the big Pokémon Go stamp. I don’t like stamps like this in general. I think they kind of get between the card and the viewer and wish they weren’t there in almost every case.
I also think the Radiant cards featured here are a real step down from pretty much every other iteration of shiny Pokémon as depicted in the TCG.
But there’s still some good cards in here, including Yuka Morii and sowsow. It’s not a knock-out set for me but it’s just fine. And not too huge to be collectible!

It’s the first set since I got back into collecting with Generations that I won’t buy a pack of.

I think it’s good for what it’s supposed to be. There will be people who previously didn’t collect cards that will probably pick up some packs/boxes. I already know some Pokémon go friends doing exactly that. Personally I think the Japanese set looks better with the silver borders. Either way I just want to do the ditto pull!

I like the set. Opened one of each of the leader boxes since I collect full art trainers. Will probably buy a few singles over the next couple weeks as the prices come down.

It’s a solid 5/10. A few nice cards with interesting art, and maybe 1 or 2 chase cards worth looking into. Nothing spectacular, though.
The radiant starter trio will be graded into oblivion as well. Watch for their being hundreds on auction in 3 or 4 months.

I wish they had broke from the SWSH layout a lot more. I think it would have a lot more character and hold up a lot better against time

I like the ditto sticker concept and the art of Radiant Venasaur.
I also saw some interesting misprint on the set. There’s a few Radiant Charizards that are double-printed (i.e. the card has two Charizards in the art).

I think its a great set. Maybe im off on an island of my own but I actually really like the radiants, especially the venusaur. Mewtwo alt in the city is incredible, and the art all the way from commons to holos being a nod to where you see Pokemon within the game is a nice touch I really like.

i like the cards from the pokego trailer as i was addicted to the game for way too long then needed to be, didn’t preorder them as i’m just observing which one to get, i heard the eevee one is probably the best to get? Dunno, though i don’t need more than just one playset mat and others, so might be a waste to get more than one. And just made a huge purchase so i can wait.

My modern card purchases have stopped after celebrations. Unless a truly unique set or exclusive set comes out, I don’t think I’ll be dipping my toes back into modern anytime soon.
The only thing I’ll still buy are the modern exclusive Pokémon centre Japanese boxes (approx 3 releases each year).

Only modern stuff I own is the celebrations set, but these are tempting me. I quite like them, feels a bit different.

I think of how much better the set could have been. Feels like a flop to me. A few cool Mewtwo cards. Then the Radiant big 3 give off Amazing Rare Vibes. Which I was seeing PSA 10s of going for $30 per which is the same cost as grading fee… Except even the PSA 10s to be dirt cheap with in a year

I bought and ETB and had fun opening the packs. Really like how some of the artwork ties into the game like Blissey in a gym and Smeargle photobombing Bibarel. Neat set but I’m not in a rush to open more.

I like the purpose the set serves in terms of PTCG’s representation of other areas of the franchise in the TCG, and how that helps the TCG overall. But, from a personal perspective I’m fairly underwhelmed. I mean, it’s okay, I do like the Radiants & I’ll be picking some up, and it’s certainly a better set than the likes of Rebel Clash, but I agree with what others have said, the set overall lacks some factors that would otherwise give it the necessary depth to make me really want to rip through some boxes.

I like the radiants, but the set isnt for me overall. I believe its job is to pull in people from Pokemon Go. Which I think is cool. I like more people in the hobby.
