I also like how the “evil” team is “Team Star” lol. It seems like Team Skull in Gen 7 served as a turning point for the “evil” teams in these games. They went from legitimately evil psychopaths to just a bunch of punk kids.

One thing I didn’t mention when I first made my assumptions about 83-86 is that BW is the “retro” gen of this generation (insert old man gif here.)
Perhaps they will mirror certain aspects of the Swords of Justice (Swords of “injustice” with Dark acting as the countertype?) for the second, BW-themed games? I certainly hope so.

Considering Gen 5 is unquestionably one of the best designed generations we have had (and excruciatingly underrated), this would be awesome.
I’m also noticing the reception for everything we have seen from Scarlet/Violet thus far has been overwhelmingly positive. I remember when Sword and Shield trailers were releasing a few years ago, they were garnering so much hate. But people seem to be genuinely excited about the direction Scarlet and Violet appear to be taking. It’s great to see.
(P.S. Did you notice the texture on the Sudowoodo model? They have definitely upgraded the graphics.)

Is it too late to pre order a copy from Japan to get the promo card? I wasn’t sure if there was a deadline.
Think you should be fine preordering from the Japan Pokemon Center for a bit. There looks to be some mention of reaching the planned number of copies, but I THINK if it shows up in your cart when you add the game then you are guaranteed to get it. I just checked and it adds everything right now.

I think Gen 5 remakes will be made during Gen 10, if they happen at all. The pattern so far is “Gen (X) is remade during Gen (X • 2)”.

Is the parakeet wearing a hat? The image is too small for me to be certain but I hope the parakeet is wearing a hat.
Looks like a crest to me but it could be a hat-shaped one.
The Japanese trailer didn’t have any of the half dozen or so “leaked” Pokémon that the English one did…
I wonder if the English trailer leaks were intentional

I love it! I’m also happy that a pure electric type isn’t yellow for the millionth time. I get it, they want Pokémon colors to generally match their type color, but it feels a bit repetitive!

Agree completely, original colors and non type-specific species (like the pure Rock crab that isn’t water type) are things we hopefully get more of!

According to Khu leaks these Paradox form typings are confirmed (we’ll have to see but past leaks have been proven to be true):
Scarlet Donphan - Ground / Electric
Scarlet Volcarona - Bug / Fighting
Scarlet Salamence - Dragon / Dark
Violet Donphan - Ground / Fighting
Violet Volcarona - Poison / Fire
Violet Hydreigon - Flying / Dark
Violet Delibird - Ice / Water
Most exciting to me here is Hydreigon and Salamence. Flying type could mean breaking the 98 speed curse and Salamence is probably going to be broken (again.)
