Pokemon Red/Blue/Yellow (and Green in JP) on 3DS

Half an hour ago, the 2DS got announced officially here in stores.

No word [and as the shop attendant said - most likely won’t be getting] the 3DS version though in Australia

With that said, I have just pre-ordered all three 2DS versions

As soon as UK announces the 2DS, i’m pre-ordering em all too

Have to see If I can pre order a 3DS

Quick question guys, any of you know where we can pre-order the Red: Champion Ver. Nendoroid Figures? Wanna get those pre-ordered soon

It’s a Pokemon Center exclusive, so if you live outside the US or Japan you’d probably have to use a middleman service / eBay. There’s no specific release date yet so there’s no telling when it’ll be coming exactly; all we know is that it’ll be out sometime this year.

That being said, I was able to dig up the Pokemon Center website listing using Google even though it’s not public yet. No price is listed and it’s only marked as “Coming Soon”.

Oh kk well i guess Il have to use a middleman then :stuck_out_tongue: Hopefully they are not priced too high lol

For those in the UK, Game have the pre-order up for the Pokemon Yellow 2DS:

Game do ship internationally but weight of order must not exceed 1KG

I just used my Game loyalty rewards points that i won, so i get it for free

Any idea the best time to preorder in NA? Or did I already miss it.

Only the Red/Blue New 3DS will be available in NA, not the 2DS systems. And last I checked, the only place still offering preorders right now is Walmart. They are sold out at Gamestop, Best Buy, and Toys R’ Us. Amazon hasn’t listed them yet for the US, although I hear Canada has them on there.

475 $CAD on amazon.ca how.much are they in the USA?

MSRP is $199.99 USD… if it’s anything higher than that, then it’s a 3rd party seller trying to scalp. =/

I know the CAD isn’t strong right now, but geeeeeeeeeee…

Ridiculous really, I was thinking, you got to be kidding me.

If anyone is on the fence about getting the Pokemon Red/Blue 3DS in the US, this is probably your best (and potentially last) chance:

I’d buy this game for my 3DS if it had a speed-up feature like emulators do.

Cant agree with this more haha. After playing on an emulator its almost impossible to go back. I tore through Leaf Green with blastoise on my emulator, I think it took me an afternoon to beat the Elite four, and all 8 gyms :]

Also, still works fine on my Gameboy light. Was playing it on the bus the other day but I just couldn’t stay awake. How I had all those sleepless nights as a kid playing these games is a wonder. They’re so damn slow.

Amen! I used to play for dozens of hours just making it from one gym to the next, or just trying to figure out how the hell to get to the moon so I could have a Deoxys. I pre-ordered Pokémon X, played twenty minutes when I finally got it, then sold the whole system because I just couldn’t pull it off anymore.
