That pricing is just stupid.
Anyone who buys these cards at the moment doesn’t have that great of a foresight
Since I can’t find a post about it. Pokebeach also posted a Set list with 165 cards.

Maybe this is somewhat helpful. Sorry, if it has been already posted, and I missed it.
Hi All,
I FOMO’ed and bought the Umbreon V and VMax cards. The future of these feels too unknown for me to chance it that the prices will come tumbling down. Happy to have both to keep the English master set going
Were you one of the sales on tcgplayer or ebay? Just curious, there have only been 4 public sales that I know of
I bought both through eBay. Not seen many appear on any sales platforms at all to be honest. In fact I bought the first VMax that I had seen. I’ve made the mistake of leaving higher rarity cards/products to drop in price in the past…
Hey I’ll be honest I’ve been tempted to buy the Umbreons too. The market is so weird sometimes with pricing so I don’t blame you for giving into FOMO. I’m just hoping it does go down because I know I spent way too much on cards last year.
I paid a price that I won’t be upset if I can pick up more at a lower price in the future, but I felt I needed to cover myself in case they become unobtainable in the future!
Not a bad option. I’ll probably hold out until next month and see how it goes once the next series releases. If they don’t drop guess I’ll have to buy then.
Seeing the prices on some of these makes me nervous for the inevitable Greninja V in Series 2. It was hard enough to get the Play Lab exclusive non-holo one, super glad I jumped on that when I did because those prices have also gone nuts.
Timing that sweet spot is the key isn’t it. You’ve got the inflated price of when something first appears… and then a tiny little window when prices drop a bit, before the prices then stonk because people realise it’s rare
That is exactly it, when the Play Lab ones first started appearing I waited a bit, got a Greninja deck for $15. Now the set of the three decks are listed for $300. Got it about to ship back from PSA right now, so I am happy with it.
I need to buy a 2nd Umbreon set to have a loose card because I couldn’t bear to open the sealed deck when it arrived. Sorry to go off topic
I am trying to understand how the Umbreon VMAX is over a $200 card. There have been 4 that sold on ebay/tcgplayer for above that, but for some reason this auction below ended like this.
Series 2 cards are allegedly going to be a combination of new cards and series 1 cards.
Looks like the Eeveelutions will be the same for both series 1 and 2, which makes sense based on the pack artwork. I got these photos from an eBay seller selling series 2 packs. Seller claims the circled ones are new for series 2, and the ones not circled are in series 2 that were also in series 1.
I wish i bought that umbreon haha
Me too. If it’s also in series 2, that card should plummet in price, my buy price is $25 for it
Im hoping for 10-15 and 20-30
But under that will be good also
Thanks for sharing, I can get an early headstart on the Series Two spreadsheet. Looks like the February Series Two packs will contain Battle Styles through to Brilliant Stars, two new sets not in Series One. Curious to see if any Celebrations cards will be included, Mew and Yveltal see lots of play.
Series Two in theory is a big one. Potentially Mew V/VMAX, Gengar V/VMAX, Charizard V/VSTAR, Arceus V/VSTAR are in and all of the Evolving Skies Eeveelutions should still be included.
My guess going forward is that as they are releasing every six months, they’ll feature two new sets each time and remove the earliest two sets (Series One was a catch-up set) which could leave us with:
Series Three (August 2023): Evolving Skies to Lost Origin
Series Four (Feb 2024): Brilliant Stars to Scarlet & Violet 1
… and so forth
Alternatively they could do Evolving Skies to Silver Tempest for S3 and then Scarlet and Violet-on for S4 just so the silver and grey border cards arent in the same packs.
As long as there’s no actual differentiator between the Series 1 and 2 cards, this could actually make the cards affordable. Assuming people use common sense when buying but who knows.
I picked up 2 so far. I am putting a complete stop on buying the other 14 until series 2 packs are out and about
