The promos ended up being the exact same as the slurpuff and trevenant three pack blister promos. just eight each of them. I expect the same with Phantom Forces…Shiftry and whatever, probably Meowstic

Listen to Any Colour You Like by Pink Floyd and stare at this card:

^That’s the direction they should have taken. Imo, the new color “jelly bean” designs are too dark and stand out way more than the Pokemon in the cards. Not as good vibes as the Breloom here (;

This may upset you, as it has many others in the past, but I have never cared for Pink Floyd.

Breloom on the other hand is a badass.

Yeah there’s a few trippy cards similar to that Breloom, a lot from the WOTC E-series cards.

But yeah it’s a cool perspective for the next set, my guess is most cards will not be horrifying. Maybe a little over-done, but overall still pretty cool. I think this can be said for most XY cards thus far… I mean how about that Mr. Mime from XY Base…

Look at that primal groudon card! It is … Horrible. If only they had listened and made a more retro looking one. Such as the amazing art we’ve seen of the primal version! Where are those stupid blue sparks coming from? It has to be lava all the way, dark and red and glowing lava… That was what they promised ( I hoped ). Those cheap ass teeth don’t even impress an infant.

Anyway… I do like the art of those starters, i genuinely do. Overall art of cards of these pokemon is pretty good. Remember the one with brock in the background? Or the mudkip from some kind of Philadelphia convention. Sweet.

Oh my goodness. All the complaints about the 3D drawings. We are in the age of technology now, get over it. As much as I love the hand drawn stuff myself too, it won’t happen now. Want prices of things to go up? It takes artists SO MUCH MORE TIME to hand draw than to digitally draw. The Primal Groudon is fine. They can’t start going and change the designs of the ultra rares. Last I checked the ultra rares haven’t been hand drawn since before R/S/E era/
