Oh, it’s supposed to be Shiny. I just thought it was how some cards really look off in the official images. Umm… interesting. That is probably going to replace those stupid golden-border Megas as the secret rare tier.

To be honest the UR are just butchered in XY. Now that I started semi-collection BW era UR cards I can tell you with 100% that they blow this era’s terrible UR cards out of the water in terms of art, quality, uniqueness, and overall appeal (not to mention they are getting incredibly difficult to find in any condition for certain cards, let alone mint grade worthy quality. I think @soulwind hit it on the head that Japanese UR will climb in value later substantially to catch up or surpass english SR psa cards…)

Agree completely about BW era UR’s being so much better.

I loved that Pokemon that weren’t popular/‘strong’ enough would get Shiny ultra rares. Like who the hell thought Garbador, or Golurk would get an awesome card in BW era? Loved the art, and loved the gold bordering.

This is certainly the most love that Ditto has received since the EX-Delta/POP series - it’s kind of hard to make a pink blob interesting, so I love whenever they have the transformed version with the tiny eyes. This one’s neat because it seems to be an action-shot of him transforming.

It just makes me think of the episode where that ditto couldn’t transfor properly. So in a way, it’s just a badly trained pokemon…

Since I’ve been playing pokemon tcg online I’ve learned to appreciate the new pokemon more. But let’s face it, hydreigon can’t get much worse, not even those skittles will hurt it.
Yet Gengar should have gotten a better vibe as an ex card, and so does it mega form. Either go with the joker image or the spooky one, this one is in between. Spooky bloodcells, but colorful…

I am beginning to sour a little bit on new English cards, I still love the Full Arts, but at the same time everything is so damn expensive. And the amount of different products that they bring out with new set releases now is astronomical.
