Your April 2021 submissions? What tier was that?
I have no april 2021 submissions. All my submissions were late 2020. Goes to show the amount of effort they put in their emails before they reply back to their customers.
I guess its just what it is. At some point I’ll have to start looking into legal actions as they cant stringing us along for eternity. I hope handschoen is right and we can expect the cards back “soon-ish”.
The lack of clear communication is what bothers me the most. At this point the cards value all dropped to shit anyway. I probably would have been better off selling them all raw late 2020. Now I just want to have the cards back and not having to think about Ludkins ever again.
Yeah they weren’t even taking submissions in April 2021 lol.
Got an email about my order is heading to Ludkins US!
1015G-A for reference
Congrats, at this pace it sounds like they got about 395 orders left =(
Very nice! Do you remember which month you submitted?
Thank you!
I sent them in Sept 2020. Excited to have it back
I paid upcharges today for my December 2020 Ludkins order. Peter said the order should be coming back “very soon,” so hopefully that means they’re getting through things quickly.
While communication leaves a lot to be desired, I don’t think anyone needs to worry about not getting their cards back at all.
Glad to hear people are receiving orders. Was PSA fair with up charges, lax, or stingy?
Here are the upcharges I paid, although since they’re via Ludkins tiers it doesn’t really make much sense to me. Since I don’t know the grades for the whole order I can’t really make a determination on upcharges being lax/fair/strict as a whole.
On the ones I did have to pay, I can’t really argue too much.
Don’t be too sure. I paid for my October 2020 upcharges on May 5th…
I’m guessing your initial grading cost basis was $7-10 per card? A $63 up charge for a PSA 9 GS Treeko puts you at $70ish? Seems pretty stingy to me, but they may have also let some nicer cards slip through with no up charges.
I paid $10/card for this sub. However, I know that Ludkins gets discounts from PSA and has their own negotiated tiers per value level. They pass on those discounts to the customer when it comes to upcharges. So it’s hard to know based on the total grading cost exactly which tier it fits in, and Ludkins won’t tell you which tier it went to because it would reveal the actual cost they pay to grade, which I’m sure isn’t public information.
Some are a little confusing, the Espeon ex 10 and Pikachu UR 10 both got a $63 upcharge ($73 total grading cost for me) but I believe both are more applicable to the $50 economy tier (max value $1k) than the $100 regular tier (max value 1.5k). A $24 upcharge (total cost $34) on several cards exceeds the $30 value tier with a $500 limit. I don’t think a 10 Leafeon Lv. X or a 10 Typhlosion ex comes close to exceeding $500.
These upcharges would make more sense to me if PSA’s grading prices were higher. I do wonder if for some reason they were assessed based on older price tiers.
In a world where these cards have been done for a long time and the issue was payment all along, I feel like it’s possible that these upcharges could have been calculated quite a while ago. It wouldn’t surprise me anyway.
Same here. Is your submission 1215G-G as well?
I just received my upcharges yesterday too! Order 115G-D.
It came from “Black Card X LLC”
What a shitshow Ludkins/Polaris/Now Black Card X is creating
did they file chapter 11 bankruptcy or something? they have so many rebranded names I don’t know what to call them.
Isn’t Black Card X Charlie Hurlocker’s company, or one of them? Surprised they are still somehow connected with this whole Ludkin’s fiasco after Charlie left Ludkins in May 2021.
Yes, Black Card X is Charlie’s company, but Black Card X isn’t affiliated with middleman grading at all (at least as far as I’m aware). Strange that it would be associated with Ludkins.
