what you guys think, Is this Seismitoad(Illus. by Misa Tsutsui) an homage art of the Light Machoke (illus. by Miki Tanaka)??
Light Machoke is one of my favorite arts ever so when I saw this Seismitoad the 1st thing i thought was Machoke lol

Tonji Matsuno first drew the Frogadier from the ex Start Deck, but yeah they’re relatively new to the TCG
Friede’s Dark tera Charizard from Friday’s episode, after Ruler of the Black Flame’s main set was revealed
Hopefully this is a sign of more parallels between anime and TCG in the future

Gonna be honest, I’m with the camp that feels this Swarovski crystal crown thingy looks ugly. Hope it doesn’t carry over to my fave pokemons.

It will be here for the whole S/V block.
Until the sets made after the release of a generational remake or spin-off, which is usually in the final year of the cycle. Then they’ll choose what to do with tera ex like they did for GX (Tag Team GX) and VMAX (VSTAR). It will still be around but much less often once a new gimmick is introduced

Agree. It’s kinda cool in its way.
It’s not easy to work with this new crystal tera mechanic imho, things can look ugly quickly in an artwork

not sure if people here know this but a friend of mine on Instagram who’s name is magistermattcards noticed that some of the arts by Hyogonosuke in the scarlet and Violet era go together to make a bigger artwork and they do. Almost all of them so far, Here’s how they look together with Lechonk and Combee from Ruler of the Black Flame being the latest. definitely feel like we will get at least one more.
