Ludkins Special

@tornelos @casual

Our regular rates include prechecks. So you could still submit for regular rates at a slightly higher price and get prechecks.

Charlie is located in the US and handles the US side of the business. The UK part is separate and therefore as has been mentioned these specials do not apply to those of us in Europe which is incredibly unfortunately for people like us especially when I have so many cards to send but at the same time it’s understandable due to the extra logistics involved.

I received an email from Ludkins Collectibles (UK) yesterday which mentioned this:

So it looks like you can send in new cards again soon. Although you’ll probably have to wait halve a year before you have them back in these times, though. :slightly_smiling_face:

Charlie, if I may ask, is the 20k submissions looking likely for May?

Hard to say. We have inquiries close to 15k right now, but real subs are at 6000.

Depends on who executes and who doesn’t.

I’m over here pulling 10% of the real subs and y’all are slacking.

How long will your submission special last? I’d like to send at least one order this month and then potentially get another order or 2 together for June/July. Is this possible?

Thanks!

Yes. Special lasts until the end of June.

I’m. Looking forward to the sheer amount of PSA returns in the next 6 months. All the other services seem to be doing large submission, although it’s not much if you compare it to ludkins lol. Does ludkins US do PSA returns videos like the UK? Is that still a thing?

No. We opted to provide the best price on the market instead.

If you wanted to pay someone to make a video of your returns, I’m sure that could be arranged though.

I’m not worried about my own order. I was just asking because I really enjoyed watching Ludkins returns PSA return videos. I understand that it’s costly time wise so I get if you’re not doing it anymore.

Yeah, it was a nice thing to do at the beginning. It’s not enough to sustain a content stream on its own because there’s only so many exciting things you can say about set cards repeatedly.

Furthermore, when we looked into what our actual clients wanted, they overwhelmingly preferred a more competitive rate to add-ons.

Stupid question: For Special #2, do you require the cards to be in Card Savers as well? If so, will the Ultra Pro Semi-Rigids be okay to submit in?

I was about to get a sub in tomorrow but wasn’t sure about this part of the process. Hoping to get this in for May’s sub. Any assistance is appreciated :call_me_hand:t3:

Stupid answer: I’ll update to clarify on the original post. As long as they’re the larger Ultra Pros that are most similar to a Card Saver I, it is fine. Just don’t use the super tight ones that are closer to a Yu-Gi-Oh size.

You’re definitely still in plenty of time for May’s sub! And if you have any questions at all, feel free to reach out to me directly at ludkinsusa@gmail.com

@funmonkey54, thank you! Gonna finish getting my sub together tonight and will ship them out tomorrow. Very excited for this one.

Another silly question: does no pre-checks mean you aren’t estimating what grade the card will receive before being sent in? If so, is there a way to separately pay for that service?

When do we need to get the cards to ludkins before the May sub leaves?

He had mentioned he is still offering his regular services with pre check. But the specials don’t qualify for pre check.

Note I am not officially speaking on behalf of his operation.

Website says they have to be postmarked by the last day of the month.
