Finally. Alas, 20 years too late for me.

My thoughts as well. LEGO was popular and so fun as a kid in the 90s. Pokemon was everywhere in 1999, and somehow LEGO missed out back then. Must have been a good reason, or maybe they just didn’t think it would fit in with their existing products back then (?). They sure didn’t miss out on the Star Wars & LOTR stuff

I know it wont happen but like quest designs would go insane

I am curious what sets they will release and how the pricing will be. I am only surprised that it took them so long to finally collaborate.

Hopefully it’s not just a single Pokémon model made out of 500 pieces like a lot of their current Star Wars takes are now. Building a replica Pikachu head isn’t that exciting. It would be fun to actually have base plates and build Cerulean city or something like that from Kanto.

Praying for a Lego set with Sleeping Snorlax on Route 11 :folded_hands: Or that they add a little pack magic and throw in a shiny Pokémon every 50 cases or so :joy:

Mattel (Mega Blocks) had what I believe was an exclusive license on building block type products with Pokemon for quite a while. Mattel renewed their license with Pokemon a couple years ago, but looks like it must no longer be exclusive. Or it was never exclusive, and Pokemon just didn’t want to give Lego a license for some reason.

Either way, super cool!

I must admit I thought this was originally arriving Xmas 2025. Must of been pushed slightly back.

I always found it strange that there was never any Pokemon Lego. If this had come out in the 90s, I would have been so excited.

I agree with @kpod . I hope there are some set pieces where you build a scene rather than just a stand-alone giant Pikachu.

I really enjoyed the larger Pokemon and pixel Pokemon they released. I guess this confirms that we probably wont get a Squirtle to complete the set.

I think I just don’t like something about the proportions. The Eevee doesn’t do it for me but I don’t mean to yuck anyone’s yum

They’re going to follow the Pokémon TCG model and not actually make any sets, just immediately post items as out of stock. :smiling_face_with_sunglasses::flexed_biceps:

“yuck anyone’s yum” I have never heard that before but I plan to use it regularly!

I really hope we get stuff that looks more like this:

And not like this:

Imagine if they release “booster” packs of 2 or 3 random figures and make it so they can’t be weighed, rather than just sets? They are currently doing something like that, but with just a single figure in each bag (the Wolfpack figures is the main chase there).
