Keeping track of your collection

Hi Guys, I got some pretty old mint singles (1998-2001).
I tried keeping track of my collection in pokellector, but the prices shown there arent really representative as it also tracks a lot of heavy played cards being sold on ebay.
So I thought of just keeping an eye on my collection in Excel, but how do you guys manage to find the right prices for Mint single cards? Is it just a case of finding the right ebay listings manually?

What’s your trick

You could try using Collectr app, though I found it’s missing some things and there’s no manual entry option, which makes it a bit of a pain to not have everything available. I know a lot of people use spreadsheets but to me it’s a pain to keep those updated, easier to just fill out a checklist in an app. TCGcollector is another website / app that you could try but it will be going paid eventually, so… everything has pros and cons.
