I’ve been using Pokellector for a few years now and has been great to me. I like seeing the missing cards and makes it easy to search up on eBay and TCGPlayer if needed.
I use Collectr and like the layout. It doesn’t have everything but it helps me if I’m at a card show or something and need to quickly see if I already own a particular card.
I don’t track prices so my proper list is just an Excel file I made.
I use “TCG Collector” … It’s very useful if you’re interested in going beyond the usual. I mean, for example, tracking the languages and variants in your collection.
It’s very simple to use and visually it looks good
I recognize that this site still needs to improve in some things (such as adding some variants or making not possible to register the variants that are not available physically in a certain language)
I’m currently helping @Kob with the images of cards. For example, I’ve helped him with Vending Machine Series.
Btw, Kob … If you’re reading this … if you’re interested in adding “Misc. TCG” such as Battle-e, TopSun, Zukan, etc … just let me know. All I’m missing is “green light” (I mean … approval from you)
I would use solely Dex if it was available on android but alas, it’s not.
Dex just added in S-Chinese cards and it’s the only place I’ve seen that has them so far. I do wish I could add different languages like I can on TCGcollector but I just use the notes to type what I have. I also adore that it has multiple folders for card lists I use for my separate binders, and makes it super easy to track what I need.
I don’t use them for an investment portfolio though, I use them just to track what I need to buy and have found several cards I didn’t know existed with both!
TCGcollector is missing a few sets or editions I think, but I also do really love that it has a website AND app, because I do like to have it open on my laptop when searching eBay
TCG Collector is definetely the best out there (not biased at all cough cough). We do still have some work to do, but we’re getting there! Give it a try, and we’re always open to feedback.
@dromanyte has been a huge help to us with some of our missing scans for cards. Unfortunately, Misc. TCG isn’t under our radar right now, we’re prioritizing other work that needs to be done, but I’ll keep the offer in mind ahahah
As far my knowledge goes, TCG Collector plans to add S-Chinese as a new region (separed from “International” and “Japan”), but they have to finish Japan first.
In case of “International”, you can add Western languages (English, Spanish, French, etc) when you register a card.
I would but kinda hard to track your collection when it doesnt exist on apps. Very few people have sealed product able to be tracked and even fewer have anything beyond etbs and booster boxes. Without functionality of being able to keep track of my main collection of decks, they are all essentially worthless to me.
Oh that’s good about the S-chinese! Looking forward to that.
I’ve been having some trouble with TCGcollector languages because i can’t add languages like Korean to the Japanese side when they correlate better set wise, but I do use TCGcollector for all languages, I must have worded it wrong I was saying that Dex doesn’t have language support per card that I could find
Yeah that would make sense, I bet it’d be a pain to add it all in with a bunch of different languages!
It’s only a minor inconvenience, it’s just easier for me to track what languages I already have when the set names match. Especially with the sets where they are promos in English but part of a set in Japanese/Korean.
But overall it’s really not a big deal. Having it only have the languages the card is available in on the drop-down would be a HUGE help though I have been struggling figuring out if some cards even exist in certain languages.
I have been using an app called PK.TCG (originally PKVintage) for tracking what I still need and discovering new art. The guy who created it still updates it regularly.
Thanks for the replies everyone! I’m assuming these are all free as well? Or is there an implied paid tier that some people are using for more advanced features?
Sounds like a mix of multiple methods is the most common method in this community. I’m resigning myself to this lol
