Does anybody use portfolio management apps? (Collectr, Pokellector, Alt, etc.)

I pay for both Dex and TCGcollector so I’m not sure what exactly the difference is between paid and free, sorry!

You pay for not one but 2 apps to track cards? And you also don’t know what features you’re paying for?

What universe is this

LOL

I’ve been paying for TCGcollector for a long time, I don’t remember why I originally started but I know I needed it? I think there was a cap on cards without it? Its only like $4.99/mo so it’s not a huge deal to me personally.

Dex I think I either paid for just because I wanted to support them or for extra folders, I think it’s relatively cheap too? A lot cheaper than one of the many streaming services I pay for and don’t use enough every month  I just really like checklists and adding things it tickles my neurospicy brain cravings. Out of all my random hobby subscriptions I probably use the two collection apps the most.

But it’s also a universe where the subs cost the price of one booster pack of pokemon cards that will most likely turn into $0.10 if you open it :joy:

I keep getting adds for Rocket to cancel subscriptions you don’t need. Not sure why I get those ads, I literally have 0 subscriptions.

I use Collectr (mainly for modern) and have also found the scan feature Rare Candy offers as very smooth and easy to use. The biggest thing for me since I don’t collect modern sets is being able to have some sort of filter or custom list to find what I want and Collectr has worked well for that so far! (Although it would be nice if there was a way to track percentage progress)

I have Rocket Money, but I use it mostly for budgeting my vs my husband’s fun money lol. it’s found a couple of subs I forgot about and cancelled, but it’s really just my fault letting streaming services continue because I’ll find some random show I want to watch. :joy:

It did help knock down my internet bill from $200 to $90 though which was really nice.

I also am financially fine, so having some extra subs really isn’t an issue for me  but thank you for the suggestion!

My issue with all these apps is that I can not track multiple languages besides English and Japanese

The spreadsheet template floating around for all language species collectors is the way to go.

It seems that the PK.TCG app lets you add multiple cards in different conditions and choose a different language for each of them.

Is this in the Apple Store ?

It is! I’ve been using it already for almost five years, first on Android and now on iOS too. I’ve also tried other apps but for some reason, I just like this one the most.

Yes, this absolutely describes my collecting habits at times :skull:. I really need to get more organized, as I’ve definitely bought doubles and possibly even triples of some cards due to my poor organization of things.

I use Pokellector for my binders. I like that they added the variants so I can also track the reverse holos.
