One thing is for sure: No Symbol is a lot more scarce.
I don’t know if that says more about the population of No Symbol being less than 1st Edition or not enough people actually knowing what No Symbol is (or caring), but No Symbol certainly seems to be the bigger challenge to collect (in my opinion).
The rarity whore in me would probably side with No Symbol and I like how unique the cards look with no set symbol. I was fortunate enough to pick up a near complete holo set from a card shops $5 bulk holo binder last year. IMO alot of people have no idea that No Symbol jungle is even a thing.
Jungle in general is a win win situation. Everything in the jungle set skyrocketed and rightfully so. Low pops, nostolgic cards, the jungle trio, one of the first sets ever released. Go with whatever you think you would prefer over the other at the end of the day. 1st Edition will always be top notch but no symbols are considered errors and just as much of a scarce print run as 1st ed if not less. As for me, something about that 1st edition stamp always cheers me up. Goodluck!
If you were confused as hell as a kid as to what set a jungle holo was from as it didn’t have the jungle symbol but it had the set number then you would find no symbol nostalgic. (Yes that’s me)
