My initial thoughts:
-Glad to see it released at the same time through the Pokemon Center as small stores.
-This makes it unique from Generations as we have a similar product for everything so far except fewer pin boxes for Shining Legends and now a completely unique collection box
-Seems SUPER fast to put out a promo version of one of the key chase cards in the new set.
-Retail price is $29.99 which is $10-20 cheaper than other collection boxes, but the price per pack is higher than usual IIRC?
-With such a rushed release, I wonder if this is additional precedence to believe Shining Legends is not intended to be a dragged-out set like the quarterly releases.
-Jumbo cards are still abominations

I’d assume that more and more Shining Legends product is on it’s way.
I’m really not convinced they want this interfering with Crimson Invasion and the biggest promo collection box ever during Christmas season. Unless they put this in other products like a standard set, diverging from their Generations tactics.
Time will tell but I’m still not convinced this is going to be as widely printed as it might seem.
I spoke with my distributor, and they told me they can order more product from Pokémon. What that means long term Im not sure. Perhaps it will have the allocation generations had where mythical boxes rotated out. We will get a better idea in 4-6 months.

Idk why im still so impatient about buying cards.
Paid $25+ for a few shining Rays
Now they are >$15 and dropping haha oh well.

I was looking at bulbapedia and saw that the shining lugia and celebi were not in the English set?
Are they just never going to be released but only as promos?
I thought they would be much more popular than lets say volcanion or genesect.

My ETB came and I got 9 standard holos and an Entei GX. Incredibly disappointed in my luck.

I’m starting to see where you’re coming from on this. Though I’d be surprised if they cut the release (super) short it does seem possible… Usually we hear about all the new releases far in advance of them actually being released. And outside of the Super Premium and Zoroark boxes I haven’t heard of any other product for this set being released. Short of them stuffing packs into future boxes this print run may be significantly smaller than any recent set.

I surprisingly had pretty good luck with my ETB. Shining Arceus and regular Raichu GX and Mewtwo GX, not bad at all. Normally I’m lucky to pull a single GX card out of an ETB with no holos or anything noteworthy.

Got incredibly lucky with my box I guess;
Mewtwo GX, Raichu GX, Entei annnnnnddddddd the one and only, the one I was after, the o-so-beautiful lab Mewtwo.
However, as I turned the card, I noticed it has a lot of very small white speckles… Pretty disappointed, as the card seems flawless besides that.
