E4 Pokemon fan art and crafts

That’s super cool. Did some metal etching in the past(for medallions/jewelry, not prints), but was always curious about doing prints with wood. Yet I’ve always used a transfer process to create the image, not by hand. Very awesome, that must take some serious dedication and skill.

I just read most of the thread and there’s some great art here. @lyleberr That glass is incredible! That stained glass card you drew is also one of my favorites - the first graded card I bought when I got back into collecting. Tons of incredible drawings here too. Hats off to all you great artists. My stuff certainly falls more into the ‘crafts’ area(at least when there’s no undo button like in corel or aftereffects).

I really dig the jumbo coins, and it pains me when I get scratched ones. So I’ve been removing the paint, sanding them down and filling in the background and repolishing. “Reverse Holo Coins” if you will. Found a way to paint the tops another color but haven’t gotten to that yet.

These 2 still need polish and the buffing wheel but they’re pretty shiny for now.

I don’t think of myself as an artist at all. Definitely some persistence and will to complete it though. I probably spent a good 16 hours into it, although I’m sure a skilled craftsmen could complete it in only a few.

Awesome idea for those coins!

@mthursty The print looks great! The Charizard silhouette looks especially good.

@Whis_Cash Like other have pointed out, this is a really neat way to repurpose the coins :slightly_smiling_face: And they sure do come out looking shiny as heck!

Thanks!

Fair enough - I just don’t have a steady enough hand for much drawing(or carving/sculpting) so its always seemed outta reach to me. I’m sure the persistence pays off!

@cyberurchin Super pretty and stylish, that first one almost glows and the second pops so much! Love the choices of color, and the way you work with light is very impressive.

Tandemaus shadowbox card! Loving the USGMEN art and wanted to bring this one to life with some depth to the forest layers and using a felt/fur material for the grass.

Top layer is a reverse holo with hand-embossed detailing/texturing…

Also did the back for this one with textured swirl pattern, and 3D Pokeball + Pokemon logos. Made the logos gold and ‘fixed’ the way the Pokeball opens so that it is now correct :yum: Oh and cosmos holo blue borders.

Stunning as always. A sense of toy theater and puppetry to this one.

Wow awesome work as always. Not sure if you have done the back of cards before, but this looks really superb and the attention to detail is outstanding. Thanks for sharing your wonderful work.

Cheers!

Very cool read.

I’m only half way through 2024 posts and haven’t decided if I want to major in crochet, shadow boxes, stain glass, shikishi, or quilling .

The amount of hard work and dedication on this forum is bonkers.
