There is an opportunity here to do CHRs of all three of the Misfortune Sister’s main pokemon in this set (Croagunk, Gengar, and Abomasnow)

SR list is starting to look like this:

• Near identical format to Battle Region, only difference is that this set will have 4 SR Supporters instead of 3
• 6 CHR, 6 SR V, 4 SR supporters, 2 CSR V, 3 HR VSTAR, 4 HR supporters, 1 UR VSTAR, 1 UR Item, 1 UR Stadium
• Like Battle Region, Pokémon that have a VSTAR in this set will not have a CSR V and with CSR Enamorus V revealed, the only other Pokémon to fit the slot after it is Gallade V
• UR Stadium should be Lake Acuity
• Gold UR Pokémon this year have been the set Pokémon mascots (Arceus, Samurott, Origin Dialga, Origin Palkia), so Hisuian Zoroark VSTAR should be the one to get it

my guesses:
072 Basculegion with Iscan (although i could see it being parasect)
074 Gengar with Morty or Charm (from the misfortune sisters) (although i could see clefairy)
077 Goodra with ? or Snorlax with ? (really not sure)
088 its gotta be gallade based on set number unless they break the mold and pick a V that has a vstar. there are quite a few potential accompanying characters, so if i had to guess, i’d go with Lucian from the gen 4 elite 4

i agree with everything else. for the item, its tough. the items in this set are all weird and quirky. i could see it being an item from a previous set. (switching cart or super effective glasses maybe). *if* it was from this set, i’d hope it was the arc phone just to have a gold version of it

i’m leaning more and more to snorlax since it is a spiritual successor of a BW era snorlax with the same ability. i just don’t know who it would be with.

Besides the CHR/CSR there’s nothing really interesting - well, I suppose the same can be said besides the AAs in the main sets.

Waiting every month just for 8 cards in a special set and 4 cards in a main set is pretty lame.

I suppose the FA trainers have a chance to be good, but not really exciting waiting for reveals of Gold, Rainbows or Coloured Arts. That’s what the latter should be renamed to.

i disagree, but i also like a lot of the main set cards. personally, the CHRs/AAs are just a bonus

the current working transition based on past habits of pokemon is Shrieking Circle. i’m sure there will be some sort of translation that makes it more PC than scream suckle lol

there are two guaranteed vmaxes coming out in the Deoxys & Zeraora VMAX & VSTAR High Class Decks as well as the GMAX Melmetal VMAX coming out in the PoGO set at the very least. I would not be surprised to see maybe 2 or 4 more before the end of SWSH

One of my favorite cards is a non-holo rare. I think loads of people appreciate the variety in modern.

Yeah, but those have all already been revealed and many of course, I think up to 70% are revealed even before the set reveal (the week before release), so you’re not really waiting for much.

Well, if you want more hype why don’t you just avoid reveals and spoilers and take a look at the official setlist once it is compiled in full? Either way you still have to wait for the set release date to actually obtain the product, so I don’t see a problem.

It’s a slow burn with the build up of everything coming out and being revealed. I personally enjoy getting a few cards every other day or so leading up to the main set getting revealed the week before the release, followed by the secret rares leaking out a couple days before. I know some people like to see stuff for the first time when they open it, and that’s totally valid. Personally, I get more excitement out of the anticipation. After getting the items, the rush is gone.

this is totally fair. i see what you meant. i will say, the gold stadiums have been amazing lately, but still not too much substance to look forward to.
