There are multiple trains of thought that can be applied to this.

Firstly, I often disregard starters all together. Seldom have I been to a restaurant where the starter has been something that is worthy of visiting in the force place, as well as the price that most places will charge for something miniscule and not worthy of note. Generally, I think just going with a main is enough as that is what the chef’s speciality is most likely to appear in. However, I see nothing wrong with just ordering a serving of garlic or cheese bread if the context of the restaurant is appropriate.

If my hunger is such that I am not satiated by the offerings of the main course then I would much rather favour myself with a dessert over a starter course. This also carres with it some drawbacks, as desserts are also expensive for what they are and you are more likely to get something that was not made on sight because of course the place is not a pattiserie or similar. But, I find I am more likely to enjoy a 13 dollar piece of chocolate cake or raspberry cheesecake than any starter course.

TL;DR: I generally skip starters all together, and if my hunger permits I’d choose a dessert instead.

Is the Pokemon in real life, or am I in the video game? If it’s the former then it would absolutely be Growlithe. If the latter then maybe something like Dratini.

I’m not too partial to the idea of having something scaly irl.

For me, I would say either Vulpix or Psyduck. If we’re talking a “Pokemon in real life” scenario, both seem to be challenging to start with but have incredible payoffs down the road. I love Pokemon that have a distinct main typing, then out of nowhere have a dash of psychic abilities.

Always Squirtle for me. He’s a pretty tough fighter on his own, and there’s a good chance he’ll beat Charizard in a fight once he levels up :muscle:t2:

You’d forever be stuck at haunter though lol

Obviously have to go with Pikachu on this one. Would be my childhood fantasy come true and he never needs to evolve

What is this?! You’d pull girls with this on your shoulder (assuming he is small)

Pink Eye Pig… I respec it!

Bulbasaur, but if I overslept and he was already taken, then Oddish. I need me some Razor Leaf / Solarbeam / Powder boi.

My Colbin seems like the obvious choice - Marill was the first pokèmon I caught and added to my team in X/Y, and the first one I trained to lvl 100. As a starter I’d hatch Azurill.
