Over the last however many years we have been spoilt by a plethora of artists producing wonderful artwork specifically for the AR rarity of cards that we are getting every set now.
Whilst the crop of art we are getting for these cards has been generally of an incredibly high standard, there are most certainly some whiffs in terms of card art that for whatever reason (design, colouring, concept, cropping etc) are not enjoyable cards to look at and either look ‘off’ or just straight up bad.
My vote is for this Larvitar:
I dislike this card for a few reasons. The strange moustache outline on the Larvitar from eating the strange dog food looking rocks(?) is so offputting to me. I also suspect this artwork is part of a bigger piece, like a lot of them are, and the way they have cropped this makes me think that a lot of ‘life’ in this piece of art is removed because other components of the full piece are missing. To me it looks like a strangely drawn Larvitar eating poo in the desert.
