Favorite art of your least favorite Pokemon?

Inspired by the Least Favourite Art of Your Favourite Pokemon? thread, which is your favorite art of your least favorite Pokemon? What’s that one artwork that makes you look past the flaws and seething hatred you have toward that one particular Pokemon and say “Yeah, actually this is alright”?

To get the ball rolling, this is mine:

I hate Chespin. I’m so sorry to the 2 Chespin enjoyers out there, but I am a certified Chespin hater. I hate him, I hate his evolution line, I hate that smug little smirk. This art though? Saya Tsuruta was cooking here. That may just be a testament to Saya Tsuruta’s brilliant work in general (one of my favorite artists, alongside Kanako Eo and Atsuko Nishida), but I find Chespin to be almost bearable in this one. Almost.

Not a fan of Gardevoir but I love how Tokiya can make any pokemon look formidable.

I was going to say that there was nothing, but after a fast check, I found this artwork …

I don’t hate Stonjourner … Just that its design is mediocre … However, I like how lights were applied in this artwork … Well done HYOGONOSUKE … :sunglasses:

Out of the fifty or so truly vomit-inducing Pokemon, these have received at least one representation on cardstock that makes them a little bit less repulsive than normal.

These are both pretty good artworks for different reasons:

Uhhhh, this one I guess? Not many good artwork for this guy, and honestly, he deserves it. This one is the least boring card, it’s also poetic that the Wingulls are circling above

Basculegion is pretty cool but I will never forgive Basculin. As a teen I found a full odds shiny basculin in XY, I thought the shiny looked boring but was so happy to have found my second ever shiny (first in years). Then the thing decided to go ahead and break out of every ball I threw at it and eventually passed away from recoil. Good riddance

I absolutely dislike the design concept of Blastoise,

With its almost implanted-looking stainless steel barrels shooting out water projectiles I always thought it would be much more at home in the digimon world.

But its special art with piplup almost gives it a resemblance of a soul.

Chikorita is the best gen 2 starter

I definitely prefer Totodile, but seeing “vomit-inducing Pokemon” and Chikorita in the same sentence really killed me. RIP to @SeasidePokemon’s and @c0ll3ct0r’s relationship.

Perhaps one of the worst Pokémon designs out there. Sorry anyone who is a species collector of this,. However this card may be the only art that makes it bearable. OKUBU, the artist should be awarded for making such a poor design Pokémon look decent.
