Pokemon cards giving the ick

What artwork gives you the ick? there are some obvious ones like the banned grimer card. doesn’t have to be a look but maybe certain poses. here is a more subtle one with grovyle giving off that look.

Please be nice to my boy, Nakamura. He made one of the best tyranitar cards ever (POP series ex.)

Then he made a bunch of cool, super distinct artwork in the EX era (his crystal guardians stuff wasn’t great but the other stuff was) and then he was never seen or heard from again….

Seriously though, I wish he stayed on the TCG art team. I kind of loved his minimalist style

Nooo way. It’s an amazing card. The reverse foils look so cool.

It was made before Morrowind came out.

I never understood the appeal of Hikaru Koike’s cards. They are disgusting.

I think he has a few good cards:

  • Sandstorm Gardevoir
  • Rocket Scizor
  • Unseen Lugia

Respect for Golem. It got jaundice but is still trying to fight

You mentioned banned grimer, but I’ve always liked to pair it with fossil grimer for the reaction

I am of the belief Golem is at his best when he’s a nasty little freak, so I’ve always loved this card.

It looks like he started to draw the body first and went “oops I forgot I need to draw legs” and squished them to fit into the frame.

At first I was like “what’s wrong with the Espeon” card but after looking again yeah I don’t like that. :joy:
