Disturbing Pokémon TCG Artworks

I had this thread idea a while ago, which I later on kinda forgot about again. But after seeing a card on the Discord today, here it is. What are some disturbing TCG artworks in your opinion?

Here are some examples I have thus far, but I’ll see what others I can find later on. I’m curious what some artwork you find disturbing, so post them down below!

I don’t think this first one needs an explanation (on why it’s disturbing I mean - it defintely needs an explanation from its illustrator wth is going on here). It’s without doubt the best example for this thread. A miniature limbless and headless cow held by someone, with its udders being sucked on by a Sentret.

He’s sitting on another Eiscue’s head. :laughing:

Maybe it’s because I dislike this Pokémon in general, but the pose in this artwork really creeps me out…

This was just posted on Discord by @jaco7671 . Will Torchic or Bulbasaur get hit by the bomb, you decide @poketapp and @genosha ! :wink: (Oh wait, if it explodes, I guess both would…:sweat: ).

From a distance, his teeth blend into the background, making the CGI toothless Rayquaza pretty weird…

Someone once told me its left front paw looks like a penis in that position, and it’s ‘hard’ :roll_eyes: to unsee it:

Bruh, that rayquaza has teeth? I love that card, have a sealed and a PSA 10 and feel like I look at it all the time. And I NEVER noticed those two teeth.

Besides the tutu/scarf? my mans is rocking… Both Versions of the dark slowking always came off pretty menacing to me.

Love this thread idea, @quuador! One that I don’t think anyone else may mention is this Vulpix. When I saw it a while ago, I instantly thought it was disturbingly beautiful. It gives me vibes of Galadriel transformed by the One Ring. I’ve always loved it for being a creepy depiction of a cute and cuddly mon. Good job, Himeno! Haha I wonder if that’s what he was going for?

Ikr. Before I saw this photo earlier today I didn’t knew he does actually have the teeth either. I wanted to post it for his lack of teeth, and then noticed it had them all along, they’re just barely visible except when you look at it from the right angle or up close. :slightly_smiling_face:

So damn creepy. Alakazam staring straight at you, glowing in the darkness, in a pale green light, with a blood red moon in the background. Also happens to be one of my favorite cards ever.

I have this card and I got it because I love how goofy a rayquaza with just gum look likes. I never saw the teeth before now.

Found another mildly creepy one. This looks like something out of the Chronicles of Riddick, not Pokemon.
