Which cards have the full-front powdered holo effect, similarly to CoroCoro Mew?

I recently came across CoroCoro Mew for the first time and I instantly fell in love with it - one major factor was the full-front of the card having a powdered holo effect. I did some more researching but wasn’t able to find a whole lot on this topic, but have come across some similar cards by chance when mentioning CoroCoro Mew:

  1. Japanese Shining Magikarp from Neo 3
  2. Japanese Shining Gyarados from Neo 3
  3. Japanese Crystal Charizard from Mysterious Mountains

So, aside from these 3 mentioned cards, what other cards, regardless of language, have this holo effect?

The only ones that come to mind are the Japanese Crystal Pokémon. Here some random pictures from eBay that highlight this holo pattern on them:

Another one that comes to mind, but on which it’s not very noticeable because the entire card is holo, are the Japanese Nintedo-error; Japanese version 1; Japanese ©2019; and Korean ©2020 versions of Ancient Mew. Here a picture of those from my personal collection (ignore the Japanese version 2 and US/international Ancient Mew versions without this type holofoil):

Another set that comes to mind is the holos from the Silver and Black Deck Kits (Dark Dragonite, Dark Tyranitar, Rocket’s Articuno ex, Rocket’s Moltres ex). These had double holos where the regular artwork box was cosmos/galaxy foil and the entire card had speckle holo.

And now!! The only master set I own the Japanese Cp3 aka Pokekyun cards

For more accessible and cheaper cards that are stunning with the same holo there are

Charizard
Froslass
Morpeko
Jirachi
Yveltal
Diance
Floette
Swilix
Slurpuff
Wally

On top of that all have foil designs on the card along with that glitter dust holo style!

The full art Pokekyun cards and regular Sylveon ex also have this effect:

The english versions of these cards DO NOT have that glitter sparkle magic though and to that I say

How do they print double holo cards?

  1. Cosmo holo later
  2. White ink layer
  3. Illustration
  4. Speckle Holo on top

Or

  1. Cosmo holo later
  2. White ink layer
  3. Speckled holo
  4. Illustration

Looks like the former. You can see the speckled holo over the pokemon.

Very biased here, but in my opinion no speckle holofoil card hits as hard as Corocoro Mew.

My cool pop 1 has it :eyes:

Do you think you could peel off the speckle holo layer then? Like the old bandai holofoils

I forget exactly what they’re called, but someone did an experiment and posted a video peeling off the holo layer from the card like a sticker

Good question! I don’t think I have any good candidates for this experiment..
