I pulled a Metagross gold star when I was a kid!
I remember being disappointed because I didn’t like the color scheme 
I put it behind another card in my binder and forgot about it for like a decade.
Now hes double sleeved in a binder with a bunch of other cool cards like he deserves 
I won a shining Tyranitar in a fist fight once but I’m not counting that because I wasn’t the one who pulled it. (I still have that one too lol)
Base set Charizard back in 2000 which I still have in my binder. Aside from that, I pulled a Blastoise in my very first booster pack but traded it away for 2 other holos.
when i looked at my binder when returning i had a celebi gold star. No idea if i actually pulled it, but it was there…
My base set shadowless Raichu when I was a kid! When I got back into the hobby in 2018 I graded it and it got a PSA 4, which actually might be a little generous lol
The pull from my very first booster pack was a Base Set (unlimited) Chansey holo, which I traded for a Pidgey, Pidgeotto, and Vulpix, since unlike most kids I only cared about more cards instead of holos. 
My best pulls as a kid are probably Crystal Kingdra and Shining Magikarp (and my little brother pulled the Crystal Nidoking and Shining Gyrados). 
And this was from ~3 packs each or so, since I never opened a booster box until I was an adult. I wish I still had that luck… My little brother also pulled the Shining Steelix, and with its triple star rarity I’ve always been jealous of it. But he gave me his collection a few years ago, so I guess I have all those cards now including the Shining Steelix.

As a kid, Base Set Charizard. As an adult round 1, Rocket’s Zapdos (unlimited). As an adult round 2, Charizard gold star. As an adult round 3, it’s hard to say. I opened some Call of Legends packs and got some nice holos that I wanted, but in the context of the set they weren’t the best pulls. Maybe shiny Lapras V from SSV? Or some full art from VSTAR Universe. I really don’t open much anymore.
I remember pulling Base Set Venusaur when I was nine. To this day it remains my favorite Base Set holo art.
As a kid I never got to open any actual packs until Neo Genesis. Parents didn’t want me spending money on packs so I had to make due with whatever cards I could trade for on the playground. My local corner store only had bootleg Base Set packs (the cards were 3/4 the size of real cards, the card backs were purple and every pack had the exact same cards) or this machine where you inserted a dollar and it would spit out a single random card. Canadian suburbs were dismal back then…
When Neo Genesis released I was finally allowed to buy cards and my corner store even stocked real packs! I only opened a few packs total but I was ecstatic pulling a 1st Edition Meganium, 1st Edition Kingdra and 1st Edition Ampharos. They were the only 1st Edition cards I ever owned as a kid.
Sadly, Pokemon fell off a cliff in popularity in the coming months so it was a short-lived moment of happiness. I remember asking for Pokemon packs for secret santa in 5th grade at school and the whole class made fun of me because I still wanted Pokemon.
Having the financial means to buy a lot of cards I wanted as a kid but could never afford or access feels so cathartic now.
Best card I pulled was a holo feraligator from neo genesis when I was like 7/8
My mom surprised me with 2 base set packs when I finished my science fair project. One of those packs contained the coveted base Charizard!
After my hiatus I remember buying auction for a bunch of random packs, In there was the plasma storm zard and the FR LG zard. I was blown away!
My friend got me a Jungle booster box and a Base set 2 booster box and I pulled a lot of good stuff from those. His dad worked at WOTC back in the day. This is mostly my best pulls from that time period, I traded for the shadowless charizard though.

Japanese Base Set Venusaur
1st Edition Jungle Vileplume (Holo)
I had terrible luck as a kid. I had to beg, trade, and steal for most of my holos. Opening boosters gave me a lot of anxiety because it took so much effort to convince my parents to buy me one and then I wouldn’t get anything good out of it and wouldn’t be happy. This solidified that they should not buy me Pokémon cards, which made it all the harder.
That Venusaur from a Japanese booster that somehow ended up in my Christmas stocking was my only real and genuine childhood pull worth celebrating. That distant second Vileplume only stands out as an exception among the unexceptional.
Edit: I think this is where my love for promo cards might be rooted - there was no chance involved. They simply existed. If you knew how or where to get them, you could predictably acquire them whereas booster packs and set cards always took good fortune.
Neo Genesis Lugia and Charizard from Base set 2 were probably the most envious pulls I had as a kid.
Shadowless Venusaur. Pretty sure it was the first holo I ever pulled too.
Best pull I’ve ever had was “Demonic Tutor”. Legit, made my day, to this day, and it will probly never be topped…
BUT since I’d venture a guess that most of you reading this have no idea why that matters, Crystal Celebi will likely always be my best pull.
I never opened TCG booster packs as a kid even though I started collecting back then (rip). The first TCG booster packs I opened were ex-packs and I think my first proper pull was a Raichu ex from Emerald.
I never pulled any big big hits but so many holos from base set to aquapolis that still are in my collection, never parted with a single one of them. I vividly remember cards like base set zapdos and aquapolis suicune and ampharos. Pity that i didn’t get to open any skyridge but i guess being there until aquapolis was already big
